Building an ice mine and hydrogen processing facility as a German Engineer - Space Engineers E19 

This is my first time seeing you and I enjoyed and learned a LOT! I subbed and will look for your discord if you are still active. I am two weeks old and learned a lot from watching this video. I hope to call myself a Space Engineer soon, right now I am just a monkey pounding two rocks together. The game has a steep learning curve. I am playing vanilla and never use scripts. Hi i'm still new and loving this game but i was wondering if i could attach the rotor in vanilla? I assume that circular ui you used to select 'attach' on the piston is from a mod as I haven't seen that in my game.

17:05 We should know about SE's grid system. Movable = Basically game called it "ship", so you could see a "convert to ship" button in Info tab of Terminal. You can't place the block into the voxel, and your drill part is this case. Static(Permanently) = Basically game called it "station", so you could see a "convert to station" button in Info tab of Terminal. We can place most of blocks into the voxel in this case. Static(Temporary) = If your ship has a landing gear and landed to the voxel and locked, or connect to the station via connector grid becomes static status temporary. You could place the block into the voxel, but you should remove the blocks before unlock the landing gear. Best way to understand this mechanism, place the wind turbine to your large grid ship. Basically wind turbine only works on station, because it requires static grid. So ship's turbine don't work. But if you landed to the voxel and locked the landing gear, or connect to the station via connector, suddenly turbine start working. I guess you already know, small grid ship can't use the "convert to station" button in Info tab. We could change small ship to Static(Permanently) via modifying the save data. But through the gameplay, no, game don't allow it. But small ship also able to static(temporary) by landing gear or connector as I mentioned above.

The only thing I would have done differently is using a landing gear and a single piston to hold up the drills. Well I am also a big proponent of using block welders for building refineries and block welders on wheels for long pipe lines. Fun episode.

Year almost over, watched it just now and you're talking from the past that the year just began 😂 And because you wrote you're a German Engineer you may understand this: Man kann ruhig doof sein. Mann muss sich nur zu helfen wissen. Mein Lieblingsspruch wenn ich etwas auf andere Weise zum funktionieren bringe als es eigentlich gedacht war😂 Wie du mit dem Bohrkopf und den Pistons😂
