it's excellent . i think the folding idea is the best solution for shops with limited space . 👍

I’m with you on this . I would buy the saw stop to get the nice fence , steel flat table top if I had the space and did enough to warrant it . Then I’d build around it to save . The out feed table you build is fully customizable to your needs . You can rehab it 4 times and still be under the cost of the out feed table . For a commercial shop putting out tons of work weekly yes I’d get it .

I have been watching folding outfeed table videos this morning and yours is by far the most practical (removeable panels, hinges you can get at the big box store, floor levelers). While my set up is a bit different than yours, your solution will adapt perfectly. Thanks for sharing!

Nice job! Great idea for a fraction of the cost. Only thing I would recommend is maybe a detachable crossbar that sits in between the two legs when their open to keep them from possibly buckling in the middle of a cut.

Good idea. The SawStop unit is over $800 in Canada (on Amazon) and the mobile base is nearly $1000!!!

👍 Thanks for sharing! The simplicity and ruggedness of your design will work perfect for my SawStop. I was going to make the Almfab outfeed, but like you, I have “other activities” in our garage. The folder is a must for maneuverability. The details showing your M10 threaded wood inserts, the Home Depot type hinge and magnets to hold your legs up sold me on your design. Now to figure out if I want to Formica the top or just keep in simple with paste wax. Nice work!!

Thank you so much. That means a lot. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to connecting with my audience here.

8:37 SawStop may save your fingers but it destroys the saw. Maybe try using a blade guard could save a finger and a lot of money.

Nice build. Wish I could have an out feed table: tools live in the garage and get used on the slanted driveway. Don’t know how well it would hold up. Keep up the great work!

thanks for this video, I am right in middle of fitting a folding outfeed table, no such luck as a bar at back of tableto bolt to, straight edge has to clamp over back rail! so has to have a gap there, mine is a lumberjack 10" cast iron top hybrid saw with wheels that lift and lower for moving, Its a UK table saw, based on a rigid table saw. I did think it was a rebadged rigid, but after viewing another rigid outfeed table biuld video, that said there was a mitre track under the rear rail! I thought yippee this will be easy then. So I went to look at my saw that looks the same the rigid saw apart from paint work, only to find the extrusion did not have have a mitre track in it, dam! so I had to get creative, and bolt two timbers to the rear cover of the saw there are three 6m. studs that hold the inspection cover normaly so lucky for me i had some 60mm 6m bolts in stock so i fitted 2. 50mm x 60mm lengths verticaly to the cover, that should step out level with rear rail for the Folding Shelf Brackets to be bolted to, so with any luck it should not need any legs for my build, thank you for your video as i didn't think of the mitre foul up before, so i am well warned , just waiting for amazom to deliver backets today, it look as they will be here to late to finnish it today. thats life always a struggle!

That's the struggle with trying to make a video like this. Every saw on the market is so different. It makes it impossible to make something that works for everyone's situation. We just have to get creative and hope it works. lol. Best of luck to you on your outfeed table build. You've got this.

Nice job. I think you should have put the 2×4's on edge. I built a couple of shelves the way you did. Without something to support them I got a lot of sag. My shelf was 2' by 5'. It could have been they were salvaged lumber. Next time I am going to rip them in half and glue them together crown side up. Then pocket screw the fame together.

You buy a $5,000.00 SawStop, but you don't want to spend $420 on the table? Bet the wife had a say in that ! haha. Anyways, cool idea. Looking at designs for my out feed table and yours in one I've bookmarked. Thanks.

The saw is worth it, the cheap stamped steel putfeed table is not. Building your own is the right thing to do unless you just want sawstop jewelry hanging off the back of your saw. 😂

Melamine would have been a better choice than plywood for the top.... Work pieces would slide easier especially when waxed regularly.
