I'm an electrician by trade, have been for the last 15 years or so. I've never got into the BAS controls aspect in the field. But i'm starting to realize that it would be immensely useful to know as much as possible about BAS. It would be beneficial to me and also I've been curious for quite some time now on how it all functions. Your video's are helping a lot. I've started from the first lesson and plan on taking it as far as you go. I became a subscriber today and hope you keep the videos coming. Thanks once again for your valuable time.

Hello sir, I'm 3 weeks into a BMS system as a Automation Engineer, even though my experience mainly is field work with oil and gas , power gen and automation robotics, the troubleshooting that I've done is what has helped me transition to new automated systems . I went from PLC'S TO, node based architecture, in short your video I've watched at the end of my 3 weeks so far. Its perfect. Good pace, you choose a project that has all the components I deal with now. Thank you. BTW great simulator in lesson 3 . I used to build those.

Thanks a lot for taking the time out of your day to make this video. This was the most insightful intro to BAS video ive seen as we got to see the real life installation and equipment in action, juxtaposed to the schematic and head-end graphics, rather than just a classroom based video like most of the others ive seen. Im hoping to get into the BAS industry in a few years after i finish my HVAC apprenticeship so a video like this is really helpful. Im definitely looking forward to seeing more of your other sites and their BAS systems like this one and then maybe after that a intro vid explaining the different communication protocols and how they work. Also great job in explaining/teaching, cheers!

Great video! I'm a visual learner and I would say is that looking at the actual hardware installed on the end application and review of the schematics could be very helpful to understand and absorb all this information. Usually, schematics is the language we use to communicate this information. Also, selecting the hardware based on the application could be something the potentially will help people to narrow hardware options.

Its nice working with lay folk and doing some good in the world. Its all over the place too. I sometimes click next for program installs all day. Sometimes im on ladders in drop ceilings hunting wires. Sometimes im programming buildings with code - so its not too routine. I have a strong sense of job security and since its not overtime exempt i can always work more if i need more money. I think i get paid fairly well for the area 37$ an hr in houston.
