Sup dude. I also struggled using those VW clips. Try using clips for a 1965-1973 mustang door panel clips. They're easier to use and hold on better. I used those on my beetle.
I’ve been trying to find alternatives to vw clips. Modern plastic ones work well but the hole in the door card needs to be key holed which is a pain, those look like a good alternative, thanks for the tip.
pretty cool, in Real hot an Hummid areas you should use marine grade foam an glue, an shallow staples to hold the material to the panel , but looks alot better no more Mc hammer panels lol
Thanks, I'll see how long the glue lasts this time but if its 13 years I wont complain. I used staples in the first lot of door panels I made in another bug of mine but you could feel them sticking through the MDF if you brushed passed where they were. Needed shorter ones if I could find them
Hi Michael, not really anything to them, I just unclipped the runners from the stock seats and bolted the Toyota seats to them. I'll get some video if you like or PM me and I'll send some photos.

Thanks, the seats are out of a gen 5 Celica which is very early 90s, about 92-93. door panels are a walk in the park, just wait till you get to the headliner, that is a nightmare if you tackle it yourself.
