The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency stocks fingerlings of different species in area lakes every year to insure that anglers have opportunity. Now the Agency is working to improve the habitat so those fish can thrive. tnwildlife.org
The lakes need habitat for fish to use throughout their lifecycle. We want fishermen to know where they are and utilize them. There is not a lot of concern of over fishing or fishing out the lake as we do have limits on many of the species that fishermen target. Also, along those lines we continue to do surveillance to monitor populations and ensure we are seeing a good mix of age class throughout the lake. It is still going to be fishing and we feel this habitat effort will benefit both fishermen and the fish.
