I would like to suggest that you use 2 pieces of 3/8 rebar passed through the sides at the bottom to form a + with the base in the middle. That way the structure would be less likely to turn on it's side if someone snags it or a strong current tries to push it over.
Do you have another video of getting them in the water? How you choose where to place them and how you make sure they sink straight and don't lay on their side?
How well do the ones with just tobacco sticks work? I thought about making some like this to sink from 10 to 30 foot of water for crappie & have never find it. Thanks
Great job guys. We'll it's been little over a year. How's the crappie relating to the structure? Gotta be good. I'm gonna make me some too. Thanks for sharing!!
Fortunately this is one-hundred-percent illegal in the state where I live. Maybe yours too! We can have fish cribs with a permit for placement. They must be weighed down with natural rocks and made with poles and brush cut from trees.
