Done a great job on the covering Alyssa. Can see your partner’s done a lot of work. Ideally it’s best to patch the holes in the material as you want to keep as much heat in as possible. Good now for ventilation but soon as the cold weather sets in next month it will be very important. Place all of your potted plants (now outside) against/around your small in ground trees in the hothouse. They will help keeping the tropicals warmer especially at night. Really good thinking having the double greenhouse. Close it up as much as possible. A good idea to buy a few thermometers to check temperatures in the shade in each greenhouse. It shouldn’t get more than 35C which is unlikely at this time of year. Pull the plastic down as tight as possible to stop it flapping around in the wind. Noted you had something keeping the plastic in place on the ground. Best if you have planks of wood, bricks etc. anything heavy all around the base. Your small red Malaysian guava fruit might make it through winter and hopefully ripen next summer. Great thinking putting the pot in the smaller greenhouse. Guavas are really heat tolerant so direct sun in a close environment shouldn’t affect the tree especially now. Don’t worry about the broken branch on the white sapote tree. They grow like weeds and you’ll have a multi metre high tree in next to no time. (A year or 2). Trying deterring the possums with a product called D-ter. Spray on the foliage combined with chilli,garlic and eco oil to keep the solution on the foliage. ‘Suit’ up and wear protection glasses so you don’t get chilli in your eyes. You can foliar/foliage feed all of your tropicals with Seasol or similar seaweed extract solution.now. It will toughen the trees to the cold providing a few degrees of cold protection. Better watered all over the trees but if time’s an issue just spray all of the foliage. Repeat regularly every fortnight on a sunny mild day. Best applied from 10.30 to 3.30 so there’s no moisture on the leaves at dusk. You shouldn’t need to water the trees much over winter. Just check regularly and if moist, don’t water. If in doubt, don’t water. Good luck!!

@@alyssastropicalfruittrees5754 Hi Alyssa l live in Kyabram in the Goulburn valley in between Shepparton and Echuca.We get some very big frost here in winter which is mainly bad for my guavas.I only have China pear and Mexican cream guavas,Feijoa,lemon and strawberry guavas,avocados,white sapote and mango trees.Also cherries and Almonds.Only a small backyard,otherwise I would be like you with many more trees 🤣I love to go outside and enjoy the garden everyday,makes me relax.🙂
