Gad's response to the pregnant fish😂🤣😂 comment is simply the best! They must build theirs for us to see.

Lovely.. But please go for natural grass and plants. It will be great and you can always get someone to help cut the grass. There are too many concrete compounds and artificial grass in Ghana. That's partly why Accra is so hot and there's also flooding in many parts of Accra. We need to get back to learning to live with nature, it's beautiful. Let's also all do our bit to help fight climate change by plantinh trees and grassb 😘😘😘.

Gad's response to Mr Voodoo's comment was perfect. "Build yours and show us how it is done" . The comment itself was a bit crude and disrespectful only because of the 3 words "sweating like pregnant fish", everything else he said made a lot of sense and I have myself been wondering about natural alternatives to building with cement which readily conducts heat and is not the healthiest substance to work with or environmentally friendly to produce . Regarding your swimming pool the positioning is a problem as there is little privacy in the unoccupied land site. I would consider siting a very tiny pool at the rear of the house for privacy and easy access.

Better to go for an In Ground pool. The above ground may be cheaper but after a while you will not like it. For safety You can put a nice pull fence around it ( mine is made of a kind of see through strong nylon like material) with a pool gate and key.. the fence looks very good. Dont know how to attach a photo would have shown you. Then you can plant two or three palm trees behind the pool to give it a resort style look.

Use the ram earth to build around the swimming pool area. To try it out. By the way where can we access the mobile swimming pool. Please let us know. You guys are awesome. You shared your knowledge about wiring electric connections etc. Asher I think you should have a shop sell electrical products and train electricians in Ghana. Your business will grow because you are honest and efficient.
@aberba
@aberba 2 года назад
The avocado might touch the electric fence though. Also, their branches and roots do spread quickly... and their roots are bad for the wall and building in the long run.

I'm moving to Ghana,from the Uk, in 2 - 3 years time.I will be building a sustainable home.The building method i will be using,is rammed earth,or a earthbag house.If maintained,these structures,they can last for centuries.Not only that,they are cheap to build.And are fire,and pest resilient...

Nice job you guys. You don't need AC per se (if you don't mine heat) just ceiling fans. For me I'm canceling ceiling fans in most rooms cause apparently in South Africa at 3000 ft does not get too hot. You guys are almost there and congrats.

Well, I did ask the questions in another video about "rammed earth" and yes, it is a modern update to building from our ancestors. I'm looking to build in this manner and have requested your assistance so I hope that you read from me. A quick reference, the Great Wall of China was built in this manner and it still stands. It is a great sustainable way of building with fewer toxins involved. The rude comment I will assume was attempting to tell "vs" in comparison to "vs" because this method does keep the home cooler. I begin researching for around one year now and am becoming more in love with this method of building. It's so earthly beautiful looking. It reminds me of elementary school projects as a child or at an outdoor fair of pouring different types of sand into a vase to make unique designs. I am looking forward to a sustainable way of building. Yes, the price seems to be reduced but when you want what you want price isn't the issue if you can afford any or all methods. There are several methods that I have been observing for building and it has become popular in Ghana long ago. It seems to me that there are a few cons to the process such as, do not build during the rainy season and you can't just use any type of dirt that is dug from the backyard. It's possible but only if the location is key. Kumasi, where I am thinking of building, the dirt there is ideal and perfect. Otherwise, an expense is incurred because of travel time to purchase the correct type of dirt. I am ready and want you on the team. Your intelligence speaks volumes or else you can source the correct people for me (I pay of course) especially when it comes to the electricity side of it. I am preparing to use 110V, the standard American voltage rather than Ghana's 220V for my inside home appliances. But will also have the 220V installed as well. Thanks!

Thanks for acknowledging me. Yes you said my handle correctly. Thanks for sharing. I understand what you have conveyed but it sounds like some wall breaking tasks. So you are saying whether the roof is flat or not, the solar water tank must be on the roof? It's going get the best solar exposure? And it is ideal for the gravitational flow for both single level or multi level?
@kingstal90
@kingstal90 2 года назад
you can use a pump if you wish. it will only increase pressure so no negative apart from initial extra costs and power consumption.

or you could send the hot water output from the solar into those instant heaters. if the water is hot enough the instant heaters should/may not come on. the nice thing about routing the output of the of the solar heater into the input of your electric instant heater would be, if the water is not hot enough from the solar water heater the electric instant heater would raise the temperature of that water.
