“Ain’t nothing to it.” That’s some outstanding work there! You can drill some holes just below the brush guard and mount some fog lights too! Anymore metal laying around? A side step for Hannah! A utility rack for the bed to maximize space for lumber, which might include some shielding for the rear windshield so’s you don’t get a 2x4 to the backside of your head. The ideas are endless! Made in USA! 🇺🇸
I fabricated a set of bumpers for a friend once out of 4 Inch pipe. When I was done, I added fittings and made one a water tank, and the other an air tank. Worked great! Great job Jeff!
Love the different content Jeff! Nice to take a little break from the house building stuff while you're waiting for Hannah to braid her hair, (just teasing Hannah, it's beautiful hair), and show us some of your other cool skills. Love watching the videos from both of you! Y'all have a good'on!
Looks good Jeff! You could put a schrader valve in that back bumper, put 100 psi of air in it, and carry a piece of hose to air up tires or whatever. Makin do with what you got is how we were raised!
Jeff, that ol' truck will run forever, but the new ones won't the ol gal looks pretty good, I seen the video a long time ago, but couldn't comment I was waiting on 6:39 traffic. it's been a long day and it started at 300am. I liked the picture in the beginning with Hannah's dog, yes sir good looking ol' truck, we thank you..🐶💪😀
Great video. Thank you for sharing it. May your family be blessed with health and happiness. Mr.&Mrs. Barron...i hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season, and a good New Year.
Jeff, you are the king of craftsmen!!! Truck is looking fine with your homemade front and rear bumpers and the brush guard. Will look awesome with a winch.
Wish my 20year old ford looked that good! 20 NW ohio winters and it's mostly gone! You can throw a basketball through the bed sides. But she runs like a top!
If your bumper has a good seal on it you can drill and tap it to set it up for compressed air to fill your tires up whenever they get a little low on air pressure...
Increasing the strength and stability of the front and rear frame is definitely going to get rid of any rattles you had, looks good Jeff! ❗I heard the word winch quite a few times. I think there is a winch in the future for that truck? They do come in handy. I suppose the 👫Childinds are over at the construction site discussing final possibilities😅.?
Great video! I need to get down there to the South. I need an older truck like that that's rust free. I grew up Arizona and now living Iowa. I just need an older truck and I'm not buying a rust bucket.
Jeff of those bumpers are air tight make them air tanks. I built some years ago with 6" pipe for my mud truck comes in handy/ By the way those look good on that truck.Put your self a light bat on the front.
Goes to show what some ingenuity and want to, can do. Minimal investment, probably outlast the truck. As for cleanin up, there is a couple of young-ins that owe you a favor or two for building their house for 'em.
@@chucksneed1264 I have a 2000 F-150. It needs a paint job. The clear coat is starting to peel and making it look ugly. 175k miles and in good shape otherwise, but I dunno if I wanna spend several grand on a paint job when the truck prolly isn't worth it.
@@JohnSmith-ys4nl Mine is an 04 (heritage) with the 4.2. If you've got the same engine and have treated it well (regular oil changes with good oil, scheduled maintenance and no heavy hauling) you'll probably get another 125k out of it. My engine runs well enough, and looks good enough inside that I expect it to go to at least 320k. Had to replace the transmission at about 250, but it had the wrong fluid added which seriously damaged it
Looks great buddy. Way more heavy-duty than the stuff you buy at the store. Here in Maine, my truck is rusting to death. I am trying to put some rocker panels on mine this week. I have never welded so I will have to use rivets. Hopefully, it turns out ok. God Bless!
Nice work Jeff. I tried my welder I hadn't used for more than 30 years and found my filter shade was too dark for me to see what I was doing and my skill level was awful. So I sold it on Craigs list.
