Andrew, It's amazing how much more comfortable you are in front of the camera now, and just making awesome videos. It's August of 2020 currently. I really appreciate how you put most of your videos in real time now, compared to when you started out like 4 years ago. I'm sure literally all of us love watching your hour long videos..... I wish you put one out daily! Especially when you are fixing chainsaws and small engines.....
Just a reminder. If you build your bumper TOO strong and go around hitting things, you WILL bend your frame, and that is not good. The bumper should be somewhat sacrificial to protect the rest of the truck. You can always straighten a bumper. It's a lot harder and way more expensive to straighten a frame. 50 years of off road experience talking here. Trust me on this one. Love the videos. Keep 'em coming!
Random Guy that is truth! Too many people think a solid bumper makes their truck a battering ram, when in reality if the bumper is stronger than the frame one of the two will give and common sense dictates which one does..
A⚡C is correct though, stock bumpers are like tinfoil when you hit something at low speed. This is a great video about how to make something different and stronger. I'm not looking to plow over trees just something that won't crinkle of the smallest bump or whiskey ding.
One tip - when you are welding near glass, like the headlight or windshield, put protection cover on the glass. Otherwise welding splatter will burn pittings in to the glass which can´t be removed. Thanks Andrew for a bunch of nice videos - very informative and inspiring to watch your high quality videos. Keep posting
My, my, my, watching this has shown how much confidence you now have, your videos are so hard to put down ! they use up hours of my day . it would seem that you Andrew are a one off
So I got through all of your newer videos and couldn’t get enough of the great content you put out so I had to go back to enjoy some of your older videos. Still impressed with what you do and mainly how free you live life. Keep up the great work!!!!!
It is pretty interesting to hear how much better you've become at video narration in such a relatively short time. great fab work and you're spot on regarding putting the winch on a receiver hitch mount. That's how we have them on our fire trucks.
Andrew, having watched you for a good few years, I missed this video and watched it when it came up as a suggestion. You have very definitely come on leaps and bounds with your style, showing why you are as popular as you are today. While a little staid in your presentation (everyone has to learn somewhere) it is still an informative and instructional video. Well done.
Andrew...you were and are a determined young fellow. The challenges are many and you sure blase through to the end. Thanks for being you and for sharing,
Watching this video again, makes me see just how far your videos have come, where you no longer sound like a programmed machine but now more relaxed with talking to the camera and with all of us here that watch.
I always wondered if a homemade bumper would perform like this, great vid. I love how you were showing off your ride and how well that new bumper system works.
Jake Logann I built a couple bumpers for my truck back in high school, I used to smash up cars and trucks with them occasionally and never sustained more than scratched paint for damage
The best part Andrew, is when you were talking about how heavy of a bumper to make, and outta nowhere you say, unless you want to run into stuff with it. I have been through most of your play list, and I love your brutal honest opinion of stuff, especially the truth about American vehicle's that are junk. I am with you on that after working on them for 35 year's. Much love, and God bless.
Donald Cisney thanks. I wish I had some more junk cars at the time, I could have shown how it does in an accident. You can hit cars going pretty fast, and not damage the bumper.
Andrew you have really improved your video making skills so much in only 2 years. You’re such a pro now. It’s Impressive because clearly it wasn’t natural for you to be in front of a camera only 2 years ago but now you stand up in front of it like a pro celeb!
Wow .... ran across this old video .... I'll bet even Andrew gets a laugh out of watching these older videos he made. He's a great guy and all of his videos are worth watching ... very informative and entertaining some of the big projects he takes on. A very self-made young man.
All I can say is I really like your videos an you are really good a explaining what you are doing..I'm 51 an always loved to stay busy making an fixing things..be careful an don't hurt your back like I did cause it's game over ...
Andrew, you have a lot going on. Keep it going on, you’re inspiring & very creative. Unlike mainstream you are thinking outside of the box of common majority thought patterns. Great stuff! You’re able to keep it simple and in this day and age seams to be extremely difficult. I really like your RU-vid channel. Don’t worry about the way you narrate. Funny the way we perceive ourselves I think I talk loud, but I am mumbling.
If it was on a big tv show like that, there would be 100 other people involved and ruin the content. With RU-vid, its just me, and I can do whatever I want.
Nice! Just stumbled across your videos and have been binge watching them lately. Finally came across your Xterra Video. Bad ass, wish I saw this when I had mine, and I would have copied that bumper design.
Great video A⚡C as stock bumpers are made of tinfoil. I'm not trying to plow over trees just want something stronger. Yet you definitely proved that anyone can build a different stronger bumper with the basic tools and a welder. Pointing out that a receiver hitch is also a smart advantage. Keep up your great work ethics and dreams. I been following you since almost the beginning. O those mountains. ✌💜🇺🇸
You're so good at winging the narration, I wonder why you read this one off of cheat sheets ? :) Great video , as usual :) I learn so much from them, like, pushing over trees w/ a street vehicle. Who would think of such a thing ? Drew Camarata , that's who :) Hehehehehehe That's why I keep comin' back for more , I guess :) You da man !!
I agree, he sounds like a 6th grader giving a book report. Hahahaha. Hes way better off the cuff. But I dont really mind it, it's always great content!
Sad music in 1st half made me think of a nature film of little baby birds in the nest getting eaten by a snake. now your channel is my favorite on youtube. Thanks AC. Happy new Year
Andrew, you are truly my favorite RU-vid personality. I thought I was the only one who was annoyed by your reading "robot voice", but I see it bothered other people as well. I must say you have improved a great deal. That's what matters. Keep up your great and very enjoyable RU-vid channel.
Personally I'm all for the non scripted commentary. I noticed its one of your earlier videos but regardless, I enjoyed your video and the other users comments were spot on in regards to testing after fabrication !! Please keep the videos coming Subscribed!! 😁
I adored the narration! It sounded just like when we read a book report in front of the class in third grade. I KNOW you were punking us and I loved it. Great job! "What I did on my summer vacation." "First day, I went down town to look for Ay job. Then I hung out in front of thee drug store." "Second day, I went down town to look for Ay job. Then I hung out in front of thee drug store." "Third day, I went down town to look for Ay job. I finally got Ay job!" "Keeping people from hanging out in front of the drug store!"
I want one for my truck but only if Andrew does the work, your work looks great Andrew and your design ideas are spot on, like the 2" receiver front and back.
The robot voice has a New York State accent! Too funny! Andrew is so much better when he wings it versus reading a prepared script. Regardless, whatever Andrew does or wants to show us, I'm in. He's just so skilled and talented. P.S. As a new subscriber, I've been doing a bit of binge watching. It seems he has had different girlfriend helpers along the way but no one recently He, also, looks much more exhausted now....very dark circle under the eyes. Take care, Andrew.
The robotic voice (which I know Andrew has said in the past was only something he did in the early days) and the slightly sinister music made this a bit unsettling, like watching a zombie teaching you how to build something useful for their upcoming apocalypse. Still love the vids anyway. Whoever said "needs more Levi" is spot on though!
