Can't wait to see the finished product. That aircraft 952AX was our aircraft at airborne express till they retired it. I remember working on that aircraft while it was in c-check..
This is nuts!!! in a good way. Much respect for having the determination to work on a project this massive with not much assistance. I've done the same throughout my life but I have to say nothing to this magnitude. No doubt you will complete it, my hopes are you get it done with as few mistakes as possible. I will keep checking your progress. Best of luck!!! 🛩🛩🛩
use airstairs or maybe stack them up and weld them together I'm sure it's not too expensive to get just the stairs but if you can find a decommissioned vehicle all the better
Just for a safety an liability standpoint I would put a fall structure around whatever your plans are for climbing the tail, an also a landing platform. I would in a mine, an I know mshaa an osha are super strict with ladder type things. Especially with you having guests going up, a steel frame tube style thing around it would probably work, otherwise they will probably require you to have some sort of fall protection
Awesome idea! By the way, I'm curious to know what the third aircraft is going to be. Would you mind sharing that with me? :) greetings from Switzerland
Is it really smart to put the airplane house right in the crossing section between the two active runways? Ever thought about what would happen if a landing airplane gets a runway excursion and smash a wing into it? Especially since you use the airport for flight training....
Just a question you say 4 to 6 feet of snow ⛄️. I go past there everyday morning and night you’ve seen me go by I’m in that smaller six wheeled yellow and black school bus 🚌 sorry to say 6 feet I like your project you are doing but can’t help you now ps like that control tower now you need a 747 cargo plane good luck 👍🏾 great dream you have wish I could see it a little closer then the road near the solor panels are
Fantastic project! Looking forward to seeing more. I'm not too sure about that wooden slanted roof cabin on the side. Seems to spoil the silhouette of the plane a bit.
Oh… My… God… I cannot wait to see how this turns out. I have talked about doing this exact thing here in Florida so I should probably come out to work on your project to learn for my own here.
This is the most epic and meaningful (to me) build on RU-vid. Everything your doing is my dream. I’m a student pilot in a huge transition out of my business and into flying commercially as well as general aviation. I have a vision and goal almost identical to what your doing. It’s such an inspiration to be able to see your process and helps keep me motivated. It also allows me to learn through your process. Not just the planes but the whole compound. Thank you for sharing your whole build series on all you have created. I plan to come up there in the future for sure! And I’ll be flying there for sure. BTW my 2 cents on the insulation. Spray foam is the best way to go. High density spray foam can give the most insulation value per cubic inch.
just wondering what do you do for living in order to afford all this , if you could make a video on a the pre requsities for making such a project happen that would be great
Bro next plane you buy for a house for you or students you totally got to make the cockpit a training simulator?! That would not only be epic for obvious reasons lmao but would be the ULTIMATE training aid that students could literally fly in their spare time. Now that would be epic.
I was saying you should of done that when I was watching part 2 😎 I think you should do a ladder on the inside to a hatch in the roof and then a railed off walkway to the tail and then an enclosed ladder straight up to it
I live in the artic north of Norway on an island with lots of land. how are you able to get funding for your project. I too want to make a runway for GA gang. Any advice. :) love your hard work
By the time we build those skis we'll have a lot of time and money into it, we ended up swinging it over with a crane. Turns out when the ground is covered in ice and its easy to slide the bulldozer has almost no traction
Thinking about it moving the 727 with the D18 might be doable. I would probably tie straps, rope or chains from the main gear to the dozer to carry the most load and a short fixed pipe (tow bar) to the nose gear for steering. If the ground isn't too rough it might work. Good luck
currently winterizing everything and picking up the grounds before the real winter hits. A lot of good suggestions so far but moving an 80,000 lb beast has been tricky so far to figure out for a descent price
Giving people access to the upper tail only invites trouble and liability. People, especially those intoxicated will push the limits, and here come your law suits. Look how many times people have packed out onto a balcony, over stressing the weight limits and it collapses. Of course, you are welcome to do as you please, but the liability and civil actions will totally be on you should some be injured. Do love the idea of making these into AB&B's
Either tell those house movers to take a hike or call the Secretary of State's office on them. What they're doing is illegal in most states. Don't do business with those bums. I say wait until everything is frozen and pull it over there. Let's face it. Those things get pulled every day - and once that dirt is frozen it will be hard as rock. Smooth out a path now - and wait for the freeze.
