Do you ever feel like you’re a warrior battling the constant invasion of books? I do, especially when I watch videos like this. Just and endless war against your home and it’s indifference to the space you have. You call in the brave knights….aka floating shelves……..the powerful wizards……..aka stylish bookcases…….the fearless beasts….aka baskets, bins and storage benches…….and while peace may reign over the land for a time…..soon the enemy arrives at your gates…….aka the porch via your book shop of choice….and in your car, damn Barnes & Noble half off sale……and soon your under siege again. I love the setup for the classics. Putting all those little Penguin Clothbound Classics into a central rainbow and then bringing up the rest of the rainbow from the standard size looks absolutely perfect. I also thought moving Hobb up looks nice because they are so consistent in frame behind you. Really just wonderful overall and such watchable candy. Thank you!

When I retired, I sold all my books: I replaced most of them with kindle unlimited ( I bought about 1500 relapacements on Kindle and books on cd from my favorite authors)every online library I've ever found. I can no longer hold books or turn pages. This works for me.

Oh, and my ingenious book storage hack is that I built a bookshelf and put it on a platform with giant drawer slides in front of a storage closet, so from the outside it just looks like a bookshelf but I can slide it forward and access my closet.

I loved watching that!! I REALLY need to do a clean of my room and bookshelves, but haven’t had the spoons for over a year. Watching this helped me realize that watching reorgs is very calming for me while I can’t get to mine! And everything looked great, especially your clothbound books (gorgeous) and those 4 shelves together. Oh, and you have some really cool sculptural pieces in your home-those couch accent pillows are stunning, and the pieces I saw on you shelves were beautiful too. I just love how the clothbounds on the main shelf look! I was just wondering what you organized the second row of clothbounds by? They're not organized by color and they also don't seem to be organized by author either.
