I am always looking forward how to improve this awsome bike in the way that we do not wreck it with selfish upgrades. This year i am looking forward to make CV carbs work with pod filters. last year i spend a lot of time to find how it make possible and want to ask you guys if someone manage to do it and with what kind of pods and jet kits is it possible. The specialist from 6 sigma told me that the CV carbs need to have velocity trumpets or some kind of tubes with uknown lenght to calm down the air sucking in to the body of carbs. So i am thinking about 3d printed velocity trumptes or 90 Degree Elbow Silicone Hose with pods because of the angle of carbs and space between carbs and fuel tank. Hi buddy, hope those video will be helpful. When it comes to pod filters on CV carbs it sadly can be a can of worms. It really is very difficult to get the bike running right with them on. I had my Katana with pods and although it ran decent i would not call it perfect. You almost always end up with a flat spot in the power curve and no matter what you do that dip in power always stays there. Ideally you'd want FCR carbs with pods and proper setting them up on the dyno. Either way thanks for your comment and hopefully your carbs project works out well.
One of my friends off the RF facebook page recommended this to me - engine stand - At this price, means fabricating your own, not really necessary worth it. Hi Yes GSXR head is too big for RF's frame. Few other serious issues. First is that RF head on Gixer block raises CR to about 18:1 so that needs to be lowered significantly. Second issue is PTV clearance, simply putting RF head on Gixer block is guaranteed piston to valve crash so that needs to be tackled too. Third issue is cooling ports in the RF head not matching Gixer's block, head needs to be modified(ports enlarged/reshaped) Then there are other things like small head refurb(stem seals, valves grind, clean up etc) Lots of work but very intriguing project.
Gixera niedawno sprzedalem. Zaraz po tym kupilem Zephyra 1100 i ZX9R :) Do tego RF 1100 buduje i rozgladam sie za VF 1000 jeszcze bo te V4ki sa super. UWIELBIAM stare motocykle ! hehe :)
@@Adikxx ogladam film z remontu zacisku w rf, juz zdjalem caly uklad z motocykla, zaciski-przewody-pompke. Jutro rozkładam a jak przyjdą przewody w oplocie to wrzucam zrobione na moto. Kupiłem też identyczne kombinerki do tłoczków. Twoje video pomagają mi pokonać moje tzw. "pierdolone sceptyczne nastawienie" bo zawsze sie boje, ze zepsuje.
@@pat-ko8888 Hehe nic nie zepsujesz, RFy to dosc przyjazne mechanikowi motocykle. Ja rbie teraz swoja Ninje 9tke i to jest ciezka praca w porownaniu do RF. 3mam kciuki zeby wszytsko wyszlo, pozdro
@@Adikxx udalo sie, robie przednie hamulce w fj1200. Tłoczki wyszły, po rozsądnyn podgrzaniu calosci do okolo 130stopni wstrzyknalem w tłoczek 2cm3 wody i puscilo, tłoki czyscilem papierem 1200 i 2500 na wodzie. W jeden zacisk tak zrobilem, udało sie nawet umyc i oczyscic oryginalne uszczelnienia wiec je zostawilem,ze składaniem nie było problemów za to drugi zacisk to była walka...musiałem coś wymyśleć bo uszczelki przeciwpyłowe ktore przyszły sa o te 1.5 mm zbyt małe bo porownywalem z oryginalami i tloczek je zagniatał. (oryginały za dlugo trzymałem w nafcie, zagapilem sie i powiekszyły sie o połowę). Naciagnąłem posmarowane reperaturki na tloczek, wstawiłem na - 20 na noc do zamrażarki. Zaciski rano polożyłem w słońcu i walke wygrałem. Tobie też powodzenia.
