Thanks for still being here. Nothing more disheartening than finding a great channel and find out they stopped posting years ago. Please keep up the great work.
Good day from France my friend. A great video with lovely comments. I've built this kit twice and I will start painting and weathering it very soon. Thanks for sharing your time and patience. As a former military officer I've worked very often with American soldiers all along my career and I can say I love American and America. Best wishes and hope to see you soon on RU-vid. Regards. LTC François Bazan French army.
Je vous en prie 😊. If you like that, I recently made another video of the French R35 tank. I uploaded that video on RU-vid a month ago. You might like that too. 😃
Tamiya kits are one of the best since a very long time and still improving. At the moment I'm working on a very rare Tamiya kit from the seventies, The Big 1/12 Scale LOLA T-70. Almost 45 years old, but still a joy to build. If the name Tamiya is on the box, you cann't go wrong as a novice or intermediate builder. The more advanced builders love them too for their fine detail and excellent engineering.
Many many thanks friend, you did sing well! You see, my english is not Perfect asWell. But what you get, is a french new fan ! Greetings from France ;)
Quarantine makes me bored, so i decided to watch some of your old videos that i didn't get to watch in time. I love your builds, and thanks for the very short review, I'm probably gonna buy a kit like this in the future for my own collection
You are welcome. My next project is building the Academy B-29 bomber. I am not finished with it yet but I did fly inside the real bomber last month. I made a video of it on RU-vid. I invite you to watch it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G6djOYu6TRE.html Take care 😃
Thank you for watching my video. I have another video coming up soon if you like that. Since it's the 80th anniversary of the D-Day, I'm going to build HMS Kelvin. It's a British destroyer that participated in Operation Neptune. Take care. And again, thank you for watching my video.
You are very welcome my friend. :) Yes, France did help my country. Without their help, I do not believe the United States will be formed. I want to wish you and your family a happy new year! :)
Tamiya currently in the past few years tend to make some beautifully detailed models. The B1 bis is one of many new kits from Tamiya that easy to build. Thanks Qdc784a. I have a B1 bis in my stash.
If there were more people who embrace other cultures like you’ve shown in the video the world would be a much better place. Nice build and it looks a very nice kit
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I agree with you. We live in a world that we prejudge others based on our values and limited understandings. I think this world be a better place if we understand other better. Take care :)
You're a good-hearted man Colin! I wish there were more like you mate :-) Congrats on an entertaining and spectacular looking build (what an amazingly engineered kit!!), and also for giving the La Marseillaise a go - it brought a smile to my face :-D I learnt the Russian national anthem as a surprise for my wife a few months back, and thankfully she wasn't the least bit put out by how my Australian tongue clumsily tripped over her native language.. lol As always, I'm looking forward to your next build - I hope you had a great xmas day!
Thanks for your kind words :) I'm a pretty open-minded guy. I try my best to understand the other person before I start making judgments about them. Yes, sing the the French national anthem was a little gutsy but I wanted to prove a point :) Speaking Russian is hard for English speakers I think but I'm sure you done your best :) I had great Christmas and I hope your Christmas was the same. I want to wish you and your family a happy new year! Take care :)
a very nice video my friend! i agree, it is probably tamiya´s best kit out there at the moment. such a joy to build it! made it twice already and i would not mind to build it a third time :)
Thank you very much my friend :) Yes, this is best kit I think that Tamiya has ever produced. I too will not mind building it again. By the way, I saw your "Right of Way" diorama. That big diorama of yours was the best diorama I saw you built yet :) Keep up the good work my friend! I wish you a happy new year!
Your English writing skills are good. You do not have to apologize. Communication is more important than good writing. Yes, USA and France are good friends. :)
Merci beaucoup :) I tried my best to build this important French tank. I am glad you like it. I hope you had a good Christmas with your family. I want to wish you a happy new year! :)
It took a lot of guts to sing on RU-vid and you did yourself proud. Well done. Great looking kit, I have that one in my stash, I've been very interested in building every WW2 era French tank that I can find. Keep up the good work! Take care, -scott
hi qdc, I'm a French guy and I want to congratulate you for your job on that channel. I have to say you're better kit builder than singer but anyway you've touched my heart trying to sing that song
Hello You are way past of being an expert model builder, you are a master model builder and a very good person. Compliments for your build and the choosing of the tunes 👍👏
salut a toi je suis francais et vis dans le sud de ce pays je tiens a te remercier pour tes efforts plus que louable sur le chant "La Marseillaise " notre hymne nationale . Merci aussi pour toutes tes videos tres interressantes . Bye. Jean.
Hello to you I am French and live in the south of this country I want to thank you for your efforts more than commendable on the song "La Marseillaise" our national anthem. Thank you also for all your very interesting videos. Bye. Bye. Jean.
On 16th May 1940 a single Char B1 attacking a German panzer column near Stonne knocked out thirteen panzers and two German 37mm anti-tank guns. Later examination of its armour revealed that it had been hit 140 times without a single shell penetrating the thick armour.
Thank you. Everyone wants to forget about the fires and go on with their lives. My community and the rest of the San Francisco Bay Area does not want to talk about it. It was too horrible of a thing to talk about now. Thank you again for your kind words. I wish you had a good Christmas. I want to wish you and your family a happy new year :)
Hi QDC!! Thx a lot for this very good video showing the Tamiya B1.bis building. This tank was a very good one but it has not been well used as it should has been. Friendly yours from Provins, France.
Scale modelling is about so many more things than just putting plastic pieces together. For me I do research behind the model and try to find an existing one that I then try to recreate in as much detail as I can, but also try to find out about the crew and their fate. This way I learn an awful lot of history from just tinkering with plastic and it makes it even more meaningful! Great job on the B1 bis and extra marks for even singing the French anthem in the end! For me working tracks is a must and I often resort to using Friulmodel tracks just for that reason and I wish more manufacturers could start putting in the effort making working tracks than just adding rubber band tracks as an excuse... Tamiya surely did a splendid job here on the tracks! Keep up the excellent work qdc! You've been an inspiration for many of us modellers for a very long time! :) Merry Christmas to all of you!
Thank you Jens Andre for all of your kind works. I honestly appreciate them. You seem to be a very dedicated person who dives into every piece of history and detail about the subject before you build the model. That's admirable. You remind me of Steven Zaloga, he's a American historian, defense consultant, and an author on military technology. His hobby is building model kits with a lot of dedication just like you. He made some contributions to the model kit community by writing articles and showing off his work, I'm sure you heard of him. Anyway, I hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you a happy new year! :)
Wow! This one is a masterpiece, q! Great work as always and a great point you made. We are all one race, the human race and the diversity of our cultures and customs make this a wonderful and interesting world!
I actually kind of enjoy putting models together. My biggest issue honestly is that I'm just terrible at painting fine details. Buts it's so intriguing and quite frankly relaxing to watch people who have that kind of talent do it. Hope to see many more builds in the future!
Thanks! I would encourage you try a building model kits, if you like. In my opinion, building model kits is supposed to be enjoyable. It does not matter if your work doesn't look like others you admire. The point is for you to enjoy the process. Model kit building is all about you. I hope you had a good Christmas:) I also want to wish you and your family a happy new year :)
It's been a while since I have seen this video. I am showing it to a friend of mine who wants to start building models. This will be his first how to video.
Hello i m french and i Simply said to you thank you for the song la marseillaise our national hymn. And you are a best model builder. Sorry for my poor english. I dont no sing the American national song. Thank you
Thank you for your kind words. Singing La Marseillaise was both challenging and a honorable act to do. Not many Americans would have the courage to sing other country's national hymn, especially if the hymn is not in English. The American national song is hard to sing. The song is called "The Star-Spangled Banner." I sang that song many times when I was a boy but I can never sing it perfectly because of its wide musical range. Many Americans, including myself watch a professional sing the song as we stand in respect. Do not apologize for your English writing :) Your English writing skills are good. Communication and understanding each other are more important than good writing. If I had to write this message in French, I am sure you will not be able to understand it. I want to wish you a belated Merry Christmas. I also want to wish you and your family a happy new year! :)
Ive just completed this kit. It is one of the simplest kits Ive ever had the pleasure to make. It looks great. But I didnt paint in camo. Ive sprayed it in Humbrols polished steel, and buffed it up. It brings all the amazing details to life and it looks brilliant. I done the same with Tamiyas Centaur. Im going through a meal phase lol. But they do look the part.
Moi qui pensait être le seul français ici à suivre qdc mais nous sommes plusieurs à ce que je vois haha ! Merci qdc pour ce super modèle ! Longue vie à ta chaine ! Nice video man ! Keep going !! Thank you so much for the awesome work you've done so far and shared with us !!
Merci de votre attention. Je suis content que tu aies aimé ça. I am surprised that there are a lot of French people who watches my videos on RU-vid. I hope you had a good Christmas. I wish you have a happy new year. :)
I have built this kit in the past. I have one now ready to be built. I love Tamiya kits. Many of them are very high quality and are a of fun to put together and to detail You made a very good video. This is the first video I have seen you make and I have subscribed. I look forward to seeing move videos.
Thank you for subscribing :) I hope you like my other videos. My videos are designed to encourage mostly beginners to build their own model kits. Yes, Tamiya kits are mostly easy and fun to assemble and I really like them.
Many of my kits are Tamiya kits. As of now I have over 200 built and ready to be built models in my home. It's a hobby I have loved since I was about 6 years old. I'm in my 50's now and will not stop. I encourage anyone to start building.
Wow, thats a really nice kit. Definitely going on the list, it's such a different build to other tanks i guess because of when the tank was designed. Thanks very much for the video, will definitely watch again prior to building.
