Hell yeah cad guy Wyatt! Future you guys could use your plasma table to make forming tools for your press. Then you could form those radiused parts in a single hit
Eh solid works files are usually available for free noones gonna have their own table anyway very few can weld it, and anyone in that business of doing that already has tons of files for those builds and wouldn't charge you for reusing them I like where your heads at tho
Great video! good first use of the plasma table to, looks like it worked fantastically. thats going to make your fabrication lives SO much easier! Hoping each step of the build has as much detail as this!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who notices how much boosted boiz have evolved from those tricky bilts thrown together. For super professional bilts and now even using a plasma cutting table . I'm super proud of these guys and I don't even know them personally. Much love from Portugal..🇵🇹. PS. Keep working hard.✌️
I have a feeling that Eagle is going to be 6x the cost, and won't get 6x the benefit. That being said, Eagle will still likely be faster I'd imagine. Who knows though, with how far that MR2 got pushed, this Civic will be so much more capable.
Kyle, really appreciate this video. Even tho it’s a lot of time lapse, it’s meditative and peaceful. I can only imagine how yall feel doing it. God bless
Been watching you guys for years, and I've been wanting to say you should make more fab videos and welding videos. Mostly because I love that stuff along side the cars of course. Always wanted to say something but just never thought it would be seen. So glad to see the fab and welding videos. Much love dudes keep doing what your doing
As a fabrication student who just started TIG welding aluminum last week, this video was dope af and extremely satisfying to watch! Keep kicking ass guys! 💪
Less death wheels, more plasma cutters. Love it, I need to get one of those myself. Great tool to have in the garage. And you could make a living selling completed intercoolers dude. I am certain people would buy that from you. You and Wyatt, both great welders. 👍
You say don’t want to see a 3 part intercooler build, yes I do, anything Honda related I’m in , even spark plugs and oil change, love for daily uploads ❤️🔥❤️🔥🔥
I am truly disappointed that this is NOT a 3 part series!!! I was hoping for this to be a completely drawn out process Do better boys!!!...lmao much love amazing work and enjoy seeing yalls outstanding progression over the years. Keep up the amazing work
7:20 you need to start tabbing your parts in. It’ll prevent flips and torch crashes. Many years experience running cnc tables, plasma, fiber optic laser, Waterjet, 5axis plasmas etc. start with a 1/8 tab both width and length and adjust based on material thickness and part size. With the water table you’ll get a lot of floaters if you don’t. Which will result in ruined material and parts.
I love the fabricating content, watching you guys learn as you go is a real inspiration and it just shows that any of us if we put the time and passion into a project almost anyone can do it, oh yeah and if we get the right tools it makes things a hell of alot easier and gets a pro result. I hope to see more of this type of content I always enjoy the mix of content with boosted bois
Definitely appreciate you guys man you do some good work the fabrications unreal you don’t see all these other McFarlane fabs they pay for it. You guys are actually putting in the work. Keep up the good work. Let’s get back to racing.
that cutter took yall's quality to 9000! nice shop upgrade. cant wait to see how all the components work in action.you guys both used different technique to bend it but kyle just mentioned what i said as im typing. lol
I love how Kyle just rolls with the memes about things he's said and done - the 3 part intercooler series and caint the page are the first that come to mind. He gives the impression of someone who knows how to laugh at themselves
You guys have evolved so much from beginning till present day! And that plasma cutter has taken ya to another level! Also surprising it was so satisfying watching the cutter work and watch the aluminum take its shapes as it was getting cut and then the final welds just tied everything up! 🔥🔥
Put a little bit of space between the coolers! If you put the two different cores directly against each other, alot of internal channels will block of the external channels from the other core! Also you will get a little extra airflow through the stack because you can utilize the extra area from the water cooler! I also would suggest using open fans instead of the shrouded ones, most HP will happen when your car go's quiet fast, then those elektric fans and especially the shrouds are more of a restriktion then anything else! Those fully shrouded coolers are for vehicle that can't rely on headwind. Everything moving faster then 50 km/h Gets way more air true a cooler then a fan ever could, even with a partiality blocking bumper. Better intercooling = more power! 😁
Clean fabrication is so satisfying to watch. I hope you’re focusing on finishing this car soon. Been looking forward to seeing it run for a long time now.
I think the second end tank was done a lot better. It seems like with the first one by bending and welding you're potentially storing energy in the metal. Makes sense to fully bend it THEN weld it.
