Building the new USS Voyager NCC-74656 model kit 

I wish we could get the younger generation more interested in model building. They have no idea how much fun it is. What a great way to pass the time.

Agghhhh, stuck at work, you drop a new video and my break is 30 minutes away, this will be the longest 30 minutes of my life.

I recently resin 3d printed a voyager model I made in blender, and was looking for videos on how to paint it. I think you did an excellent job, and it should be a good reference for my project! Thanks for the video!

12 minutes in and I was amazed how cool it looks in black! If it were me I'd make a Section 7 black version just for giggles

Didn't think I'd appreciate a studio model as opposed to screen versions - but that is brilliant! The idea of having a side by side with a fully screen lit version is great.

I recently completed my own USS Voyager and considering it is my first model, I am very pleased with it. Your videos certainly helped me to tackle this project (if I had done this entirely on my own, I imagine it would have looked like a real mess!). Thats the thing thats annoyed me about the lockdowns: I still worked and increased hours covering furloughed staff. Still am to a degree. It means I didn't have time to indulge my hobbies, model making included, while everyone around me got to do projects, hobbies and so forth. The results of the last 20 months have affected people differently in a multitude of ways. I miss my hobbies.

Beautiful job with this kit. It's a kit I will be building in 2023. Appreciate this video with all of the good info you've provided. Its better looking than the old Monogram model. I did lots of modifications to that one back in the day adding missing details. Also liked the copper you painted on the warp nacelles. You don't see many paint them in the off mode.

I had around year 2000 the a bigger model from "Revell" in grey plastics ... You pained it nicer than I as child ~20 years ago

I started watching you about a year and a half ago. I got into modeling because of you. I want to thank you for that. So far I’ve built the following: 1:1000: -Original enterprise -Refit with battle damage -Enterprise A -Defiant 1:1400: -Enterprise D -Enterprise C -Enterprise E -Enterprise B -1:350 enterprise A (Bought another to assemble in the future as the refit. Took 2 months to build the A) -Romulan Warbird (not sure of scale) -The 2500 scale “All the enterprises” was the video I watched that you did that started it all -1:537 enterprise refit -Burton/Michael Keaton Batmobile And I am wrapping up a 1:48 AMT Airwolf model. Will be done with it tomorrow. Kits I have sitting in boxes and pissing off my wife ready to build next: -1:350 Klingon bird of pray -Klingon V’orcha class -Klingon battle cruiser Undiscovered country -Kardassian galore class 1:750 -1:1000 Reliant -1:1400 enterprise D with resin “All good things” enterprise conversion kit -Another 1:350 enterprise refit kit -And the “Build the enterprise D” from eagle moss. Up to issue 34. They cut me off after that for the last 2 months saying everything is back ordered. I know you aren’t a fan of the way this ship looks because I saw your comment the one time. Lol. The reason for this long list is to show you what you have done for me. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have started this awesome hobby which has helped me deal with things in life. So keep on doing it my brother.

Can we all stop for a moment and APPRECIATE how steady his hand is when he's painting with a brush! (Oh how I miss that!)

Wow, I didn't realize the Defiant was so large until I saw it next to the other ships at the end. I literally held my breath as you cut into the name registry decal to help the decal solution soften them into the contours of the panel lines more. Excellent work.

The model looked really good in the black undercoat.

I just wish they released a larger version than the one released 20 years ago.

Nice Work! I love The 1/1000 Scale ! I recommend using A 0.5 Mechanical Pencil led To add depth To the Lines on the deck plates .

Nice Job when I first saw it I thought it was the Bandi Pre-Painted Voyager

I might pick one of these up. I lit a Revell Voyager but at this scale it'd go better on display with my Enterprise D and kitbashed Nebula models.

I like watching the sprew cutting and assembly process. I LOVE the building part the most out of model building, not really a fan of painting it afterwards though lol.

Hi. Awesome job! I'm using it as a guide to paint my Voyager. What is the dark grey paint you use to paint the diamond shaped part on the front. (15m50s). Says Revell 374 but I can't buy Revell 374 in NZ, Vallejo equivalent I bought is too light. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Isn't the shuttle under the saucer section the Captain's Yacht? It all looks very good the detail is superb.

I've been hoping that Round 2 would issue this kit. Currently working on the 1/1000 U.S.S. Reliant which will round out just about all the movie models in that scale. Just a little disappointing that they never issued the Enterprise E in 1/1000 scale. It's good that you and other builders do videos of your builds. Sometimes the instructions with some kits are not exactly clear on where things have to go. The videos sure help other builders that might get stumped on something and trust me, I have ran into a few on several builds.

My kit is molded in Grey plastic. It does come with some clear parts.

Just started working on this kit (the non-clear version) and it has been nothing short of enjoyment! Still debating whether to use the landing legs for a diorama or keep it "in flight."

It would be interesting to see how this looks compared to the 1/1000 Space Battleship Yamato 2199 kits (you built the Andromeda from that series a couple of years back).... you probably already know that Bandai has released pretty much all the ships from the anime that are still sensible in 1/1000 (i.e. not the big villain endboss ships, but all the cruisers and destroyers and whatnot), and some of the smaller ones would make for nice quick builds. :)

What color was used on the sensor platform on the top front of the saucer? Also there are 2 other colors on the RCS Thrusters beside the Rust orange, can you tell me what those are as well? I love your build videos and have learned so much from you.

Love this! This is my first time watching. Been wanting to get a kit like this. Out of all the trek 1:1000 scale kits, which do you think is the easiest for a beginner? Would the Defiant be better because it's smaller?

looks great! hoping to start on some Trek models soon, I was going to go with the bigger revell kit for voyager but I might go with this instead. Can I ask what needle size and pressure you use for spraying the Vallejo paint?

nice...why would Polar Lights go to the trouble of creating all those decals and then not have the window ones fit?...

Great video, and fantastic work on the model. It's a shame you ran into those problems with the window decals...it seems Polar Lights is still having trouble in this respect; at least they've seemingly solved the "dissolving decals" problems they were plagued with a few years ago.
