Is your water charged per cubic meters? unlimited?? Free???
@buildingthephilippines
@buildingthephilippines 4 месяца назад
35 pesos per month. Our water source is not affected by lack of rain. It comes from 2 water sources spring fed from the mountain behind us. The locals say those 2 water sources never change, plenty of water. The issue is the lack of infrastructure getting the water down the mountain and out to everyone's home.

@CB-bp2fl yes, they said since we are so close to the source they charge everyone up here a flat rate of 35 pesos.

Why do people not have drilled wells
@buildingthephilippines
@buildingthephilippines 4 месяца назад
@danielsimms3361 my understanding is that you need to go extremely deep to find water in this area. Even then, it's a 50% success rate around here. Not many well drillers either, lack of proper equipment.

Better to water during evening when it’s cooler the plants will have longer moisture rather than watering during extreme heat. Great idea for lots of fruit trees it will give shade over the lawn. 😊

hi guys a tip for you regarding your plants, i live on an island where we get extreme temperatures and zero rainfall for over 6 months of the year, all gardens here are watered after dark in those months, as watering during the day is pointless as the vast majority of the water evaporates feeding the plants very little, doing it after dark give the plant time to absorb water through leaves and what hits the ground time to feed the roots

With citrus, use the hose on low drip for extended time to get below the root ball a deep soak. My citrus are over 30 years old. Sprinkling with the hose by hand won't work that's why they are curling

We recently had a brush fire on our lot and our bunkhouse almost caught on fire! Fortunately our neighbor called the fire department and they sent out a truck to help. It's VERY dry in Dauin right now. We need rain 😢

Yes, we have seen 3 brush fires up in our area over the past week. All three were locals burning brush. Definitely not the right thing to do during the dry season. All three got away from them.

Hello Doug and Wilma. Over here in Cavite. our well is almost dried up. We have many citrus, shrubs and flowers that are struggling. One thing im doing. Getting last years rice straw and putting it around plants as a mulch to help the soil from drying out. Seems to be helping. Your home looks amazing.

Surprising how a few kilometers can make such a difference. Lilia is about 1/2 km south of Robinson Place, by the Phoenix station, and she's been getting lots of rainy weather lately. I'm planning on visiting her in May/June and we would like to see you both while I'm there.

I see you have a blue water tank. I want to get a water filtration system along with the water tank to have a good backup supply of clean water from the city's deep well which is on allocation in the mornings and evenings. Right now the water is staining the bathroom and sinks. It's not good for drinking but just want to clean it up. Any recommendations or a vlog on the topic will be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you let Prince swim in the pool? Also, and maybe I misunderstood but given the drought and the need to water can’t you recover the 4000 gallons when backwashing the pool rather than dumping out of the property?
@buildingthephilippines
@buildingthephilippines 4 месяца назад
No, he does not go in the pool. How would one recover so much water. Would need a large sistern, I guess. Our water source is not the issue. The lakes remains full even during the dry season. The issue is infrastructure getting it to everyone.

A little food for thought ! when America was not allowed to have military base's in the Philippines , the Philippines would get typhoons two to three times a year , now that usa is allowed to be back in the Philippines they have not had any typhoons , Haarp ! id say !
