Also You can buy black spacers not near are noticeable also if you had to you can use black food coloring in a pot heat it up and place spacer in a lot of times it will take the dye in .

Then chapter ring is regular skx007 size, my suggestion it to remove the crystal, drop the CR in and refit as it’s easier than sanding it down - These cases are designed for larger dials but skx007 CR fits ok

Hello, sorry for another question but i took the glass off, but there was no way an SKX 007 dial would drop in. I tried sanding it down and inserting it from the underside but that was a disaster. I have done some research and it appears that an SRPD013 chapter will fit from the front. Do you have any other advice on how I can make this work?

@@NW-lj6oo are you taking about the dial Or the chapter ring? In my experience a chapter ring will fit, seiko dials are too small for this case as standard, so require a chapter ring - did you get the same case set from mod mode?

@@svkwatches hello, i got it from eBay but it is the same case. The part of the case that the dial or chapter ring would sit against is 31.5mm which with the movement spacer works well. Your build has the chapter ring just behind the crystal which is what i have to do but sanding the dial will drive me clinically insane. I just measured the case diameter right behind the crystal and that is 30mm, so I really need a 30mm chapter ring to make the NH36 work with the movement spacer.

It just depends on the day-wheel for the movement, you can get day wheels for 4 Oclock or 3 Oclock crowns so the day-date lines up on either. The dial feet are cut then it’s stuck down to the movement in the new position - as I the video

In some cases the chapter ring can be fitted from underneath without removing the crystal, but usually I have to remove the crystal, press the chapter ring down from the top, then re-fit the crystal. For the newer cases this is the way to do it. If the chapter ring is plastic it can be fitted from underneath still and may need to be secured with some tape too

The dial size is 28.5mm, the case is 42mm

No. Keeping the Seiko as it is might be better.

I’ve not found any straps available for this case size.. I’m sure some would fit but the case is a different size to the real AP

@@goodvibes2192 it’s all in the video, I’d suggest nh36 movement, the blue dial seiko donor watch, a skx007 brushed chapter ring and some nautilus style hands

Do a color matched chapter ring or polish or brushed . I’ve did one and I did not like the look but each his own

Yep. I take the dial off the movement, remove the pins and attach it to the new Mvt with dial dots - only thing to look out for is the day wheel has to be specific for 3 or 4 o’clock case.

Yes it’s water resistant to 100m - there are gaskets on the crystal, screw-down crown, and caseback

From my experience they all have sharp edges, it’s not the best case finish generally on any I’ve had but worth the price

So be honest I’ve not had the Casio-oak on hand, this one is 42mm and wears like it, pretty big for some people yes

Most of the movements and dials are the same size yes - the automatics. Which watch are you looking for a crystal for?

Yes original Mvt can be kept, just need to check the thickness of the (usually black) plastic ring around the movement, as they are different thicknesses usually to the nh36 for which the case is designed

I mention in the video but I sanded this one down and went in from the underside, but the next one I do I’ll save the sanding by just removing the crystal and going from the top

@@svkwatches do you already tried removing crystal? how did you do it? Asking to modmodewatches, they told me it is a thin crystal so need to pay attention using crystal press

@@MD-te7pv yes I have removed the crystal the second time I did one, it was pretty easy - thin so comes out without much effort. Putting back is a little trickier but I’d say easier than skx/similar

A little tricky but this one is one of the easier mods to try. I’d recommend practice on a cheap seiko Auto first

As it stands, this is the only option with an original Seiko dial, you can use the cases with larger aftermarket dials with a smaller chapter ring though

Yes, these are rated to 100m water resistance, no issues for swimming

Well this case is designed to fit any seiko dial that is 28.5mm in diameter, I would start there and lit with an nh36 automatic movement as in the video. So you can pick any dial you like from a seiko automatic watch in that size to fit in this particular case
