Follow our 5 week journey as we (German Auto Werks) were tasked with building the ultimate BMW M2 track car! We flew over from London, UK to Arizona, USA to carry out some serious work on this car!
In this episode we will be stripping the wiring loom from the car and removing all of the unnecessary control units and wires that are no longer in use. We also take a cruise to Otto Car Club with a few friends, swing by the paint shop to see how Kevin from KG's Classics is getting on with the paint, retrofit some M2 Competition seats to a stunning BMW 1M Coupe and take a trip to Las Vegas for Sema Show!
It's going to be EPIC!
In the next episode we will be getting the car back and continuing our build!

I respect that. The Faserschmiede parts are all interior accents. They would make the carbon door cards complete. I realize it's the owners decision, just wanted to pass it along as it's a German company that doesn't really advertise in the US. Anyway, love the series and very much respect your skills and professionalism.

Really enjoying watching the build and your attention to detail is otherworldly. It's guy's like you that built the great British Empire and I mean that as a compliment! Given that almost all the stock parts of this car have been binned my only suggestion would be to pick up some Faserschmiede carbon bits for all remaining black plastic OEM parts. They are of the highest quality. Looking forward to the next video.

Hi Greg, thanks so much for the comment! We really appreciate the support and are glad that you’re enjoying the series so far! In terms of plastic exterior pieces, the customer opted for BMW motorsport parts which are now mainly made from more sustainable materials instead of carbon! We will be using the BMW Motorsport M2CS Racing front splitter in matte black which looks really good and will be shown in future episodes! Thanks for the suggestion though, will check them out!

I like the build. Please show more content of the work being done on the car. Would have loved to see how the wiring turned out and what you took out of it. And more of the paint work..

Hi Steve! Glad you’re enjoying the build. The car is back with us in the next episode! We will be continuing the wiring loom strip once the car is back from paint as we can’t complete the wiring loom until we have the car back. At the end of the build we weigh the car which will all be in future episodes! Thanks

Hi Davis! Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately we had to filter the audio and use music to cover background noise in some parts of the video to avoid copyright. We took note of this as the series continues so should hopefully the audio should get better as the episodes go on! Glad you’re enjoying it!
