It's so crazy, for such a decent size channel already, you guys are still coming into your style and "brand." Awesome to see you guys get better and better with the video production! 1 million subs is in reach boys!
@@StudPack hey my guy you got the fake profiles pretending to be you guys I just had someone just comment on my post. you probably might want to file a report cuz they're claiming to be stud pack and it's not you guys.
I have mucho respect for a man who can admit that he messed up. On top of that, he doesn't wine about it, instead ...just smiles and finds a solution. Another thing I love about the Pack, is they're always trying new things. Being creative is the upper hand! The niche is very kool. I think covering that backer board so that you can't see the orange would be a big plus. Great video and great job, guys. p.s. Never thought for once that the triangles would be overlooked.
Amazing! FWIW, I would say just flush mount the Plexi. Anything to stop any water pooling. Plus you can hinge mount it and put some spring loaded latches on it. Maybe mount the gold one on standoffs as a second layer and use the clear one as a flush mount?
F#$%^^%$##%^ing Awesome!!!!! That is an amazing niche detail. So F&%$&%$*&ing creative!!! I am glad to see you guys are scratch coating the walls then trowelling the tiles. One thing I have found is that scratch coating the entire wall the day before, makes for less mess when you are tiling as you don't end up with globs of thinset falling down onto the tiles set below. I spent many hours cleaning up my messes! I didn't see if you planed your walls before you tiled. An aussie taught me that trick, to plane your walls before "drywall" to make them flat and level and it makes the tiling go so much quicker and easier and you use a lot less thinset as the wall is basically one straight plane. I spent 2 hours in a 4 bedrooms house making the walls perfect and saved easily 2 days of work. My Aussie buddy recommended it for kitchens as well to make the installation of cabinetry that much smoother and quicker, haven't tried that yet. Maybe something you can use in the Stud Pack house. Your skill level on the jobs keeps getting better and better, and Jordan, your filmmaking abilities have kept pace. Loved the camera in the niche trick! Keep it up boys :)
Love the bathroom tiles but what about inside the neesh would look alot better with either some tile or more of the same material as the Chevy emblem to cover up the backer board behind the LED lights
Spectacular looking men's room! When you're done, I'm sure everyone would love to see a tour of the rest of the building if the owner would give permission!
18:38 @stud pack Paul, Jordan; guys…feel so bad that the Plexi Chevy Logo is upside down, bummer😉 You guys always “dress to impress” and this bathroom Reno is definitely 100% Dressed up now and Would Impress anyone out there; especially the stuff that “not seen” by most. The details you do for plumbing, lighting, DWV, etc….always amazing and beyond code, which good thing. Another beauty of a bathroom and I’m sure already in TX gearing up for Jordan’s house and after watching y’all for many many many years, the TX house GONNA BE XXL-STUD PACK🎉 Cheers✌🏻
GREAT WORK! You guys do enough tile work that the next time you need to make a hole get a professional Diamond hole saw bit for your grinder. I believe they're over $75 each but well worth every penny. I think they cut around 40 plus holes. A lot of times you will find a decent name brand from a professional granite tool store. Not necessarily where they sell granite but where you buy the tools to work on granite. I will never use the cheap one that goes on a regular drill anymore.
Always enjoy the videos, the personalities. Nothing better than after a long day sitting down and watching stupacks even longer days! But you really caught me off guard with the dramatic montage. Loved it!
Really awesome! I think the niche came out really well. The LEDs are amazing and a great way to really make it pop. Can't wait to see how it is wired up in the end!
you kept saying how epic this is.....I kept thinking, yea, its great, but wasn't so sure of the epic part. NOW I SEE THE EPIC PART. This is the Millennium Falcon of bathrooms. Tile selection ----perfect!
When you guys started slightly dancing, I said out loud, "losers" with a giggle, but I totally meant it with love lol. This just makes me really want to see the start of the stud pack house! Great stuff!
I've seen quite a few tiles installs and helped on a few....BUT... Katie Bar The Door this has got to be one of the all time top 10!!! Absolutely love it!
Texas will be proud to have the Stud Pack team as residents! Looking forward to the Stud Pack house build. Based on what we are seeing here, I know its going to be amazing.
Okay. I see you… this is the only channel that has ever made something like that in the entirely youtube gang. I’m blown away. Paul hands down man. Jordan absolutely ripper and also Rad a big support for yous. Incredible design and the most important thing the installer. It’s just something out of this world. OMG it’s just woowww I absolutely love it 💚💚💚💚 The best channel on youtube fosho🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 God Bless ya’all🇦🇺
Wow! That niche looks amazing-what a cool concept. Love the professionalism you all have. And I've been watching from the beginning and the video skills are matching the tiling skills! Nice work guys.
Really nice. Really, really nice. The angle work takes me back to High School - never thought I'd care about angles or fractions. REally? You wanna build something?? Oh, yeah, the heck I do!
Love this build. Had no idea a bathroom could be this fancy in a shop. Aren't you guys worried about how the Chevy logo is going to get dirty behind it after a few showers? Going to be a pain to clean. Make sure you can disconnect the plexiglass from the stand offs easily at least. Keep up the great content guys, you're doing great!
Iv done tile for (come April) 10 years, never gotten to do something this fun, would absolutely love to come work with y’all! Working in a small town I almost never get to do custom stuff like that! Love the channel you guys! Keep it up!
I was wondering the same thing. I assume its waterproof now and the gold glass will hide it. But it does look unfinished. I expect small details like this to be finished by Stud Pack. Hope I'm right.
Dad must of watched the A team tv show from the 80s. Seriously, this is the most epic nitch I’ve ever seen and probably on RU-vid . Very well planned out and excellent craftsmanship. You guys weren’t kidding when you said epic and we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg.
I installed a new ceiling fan in my dining room a few months ago. My friend was there while I was working on it and he went out to his truck and brought in some of those Wago connectors. Those things are a godsend. I had never heard of them before, but I can't see myself ever using anything else. So fast, so easy, so small.
feel like you should do white on the sides of the logo so you don't see the kerdi orange part but that's just my opinion, other than that amazing work guys.
A three-fold cord is not easily broken! I’m a Texan - tried & True! Appreciate what y’all are bringing. Again… I have a project I want y’all to bid on in Dallas
MY NEW FAVORITE RU-vid CHANNEL! 💯💯 Question though: what are you going to do about the orange backer board that is on the sides of the niche? White would look better for sure!
Just my .02 but try white thinset on your wall installation, I think you’ll like it better. A little longer open time and it is “stickier”, check it out.
You guys are like the liquid courage for me to do a bathroom remodel in my home on my home. All the tips and tricks you guys have on your videos are going to be a big help. I'll make sure to document it lol.
9:17 @stud pack Hey Paul, not sure if know (if do, I apologize Sir), but they do make router bits specifically for cutting foam “products” and not to expensive compared to what some bits can cost these days. Shower looking good and I Approve of the Tile you and Jordan picked out, great job👍🏻👍🏻 as always! Nice shooting Jordan and post work 😉, yep…..see ya, even if behind lens Have good one ✌🏻
My son and I were watching! Love the channel and always amazed of the job and quality of work! Great Job! Maybe I missed something, but what about the kerdi that's still visible on the inside the niche? Is that where the "gold" (not just stand-offs) or other tile going? And because there is a gap, is it going to be accessible to get inside to clean the niche and plexi?
Ford guy here, unless you're talkin' 'bout a '72 pickup, I can go with that bowtie. It's gonna look great extended from the tile; better when wet and lighted
I’m so glad to see the corner cuts in the beginning of the video. I was having anxiety thinking you forgot them in the last video 😅 great job StudPack!
Looks awesome, only thing that would mess with my ocd, Is I would want a full tile centered in the shower, Where the handle and jets are on the wall, instead of a full tile at the end
Keep up the good work. A couple of constructive comments. I'd be cautious of adding that piece that extends off the wall. People that are showering, entering, exiting, etc. may impale themselves on the corner of that extended piece. 1. Not sure how you're addressing the Chevy logo Schluter orange being seen. Paint? Tile? Mirrored plexi? 2. It's not really a "niche" from the stand-point that most niches are functional and hold soap, shampoo, etc. Feels more like a light. 3. On the bottom of the "niche" I would have added a little slope/fall to the bottom Kerdi board so that any water sheds outward, but it may have gotten hung up on your light channels. Maybe better to have them on the interior side vs. exterior. Always great to be able to "try" new ideas.
Why not paint the inside sides of the neech (sorry if I spelled that wrong) white. As it is now wont the orange color will be visible through the glass when you are standing in the shower or is the tinted glass just making it appear gold?
Y'all do super work so I hate to be even a little critical or questioning. I'll lead with the fact that I don't know anything about the Kurdi products, but why leave the niche unfinished inside? I get that it is water resistant, but normally it would have thinset and tile as another layer adding to the protection. I get that this niche is special with the glass layer that will hide the orange and grid pattern, but I guess it seems unfinished? Outside of that, the tile looks awesome! You've totally thrown that one together and the design is fantastic. It will be very cool to see what it looks like completed.
They will definitely cover it up with something, perhaps an opaque gold trim of sorts to hide anything else then shine awesomely through the glass to be installed in the future. These guys don't miss details at all...
It should definitely be a useable niche for shampoo bottles. At least a couple of them/maybe 3. With space for bar soaps. I don't see any other niches in the restroom but I guess a bathroom shampoo caddy can be used as well
You guys nailed it looks great but I gotta say y'all's artistic freedom on that and now y'all are gonna do your own house man that is truly gonna be EPIC
It seems you all are having some great guy time. I was never worried about the missing tile triangles, Your work is always top rate. So it is no surprise that this looks fabulous.
When I saw the camera getting covered by foam board I thought, _man they better have left the camera in there!_ I cheered when the logo popped out in the reveal. Once again you did not disappoint! 😂
As usual, great video; could be more awesome if you linked to the LED's/channel/diffuser you're using in the description. Either way, keep up the great work Stud Pack ✊
Great video! Love watching this bathroom come more and more alive! Wonder if you'll paint inside the niche so it's all white. How will it become waterproof? Seems like lots of water could get in.
would love to hear more about the groutless tiles. The marble ones won't get wet and i can imagine they have very clean edges that can fit tight, but the shower ones on the niche wall... not understanding how that could be groutless
There not. There is no such thing as grout less tile in a wet area. Period Now marble is considered grout less in non wet area. But even 1/16” joint will get non-sanded grout.
btw, for thoes leds, dim them to about 80%, they will still be almost just as bright as full power, but will pull less power and stay cooler extending the life of the strips
OMG I really did LOL at the tile piece . . .I didn't comment but thought hmmm are they just gonna grout that nip in. Love the vids man and can't wait for the Stud Pack House!!!
Loving the transformation! I think it would be cool to start the next following videos with something like “5 DAYS LEFT GANG!” Everyone loves a countdown, and people are suckers for tight deadlines. Lol. Anywho, always looking forward when videos drop, and cant wait for the Texas studpack house! Keep rocking it yall
