Regardless of title it's just a glorified calculator really no benchmark temps needed lol. No but you're right man he should post some tips seriously because that's a lot of painstaking work going into something to not even be across the board numbers speak the truth type of situation
Your engineering and design skills are as professional as it gets. Of course, the clean, almost cable-less interior layout, the slide-in design of components, and the use of the Pi and the external display are immaculate, but the small little things like the leather strap for removing the custom backplate, powder coat finishes, and the rotating 3D model on the front display really make this creation feel polished and complete. I hope this video gets more traction!
I'm 45 years old. You can't imagine what it was like living in the time we are in now. You can't know what it was like to go from Atari to Nintendo. Fast forward to today's machine, the XBOX. That machine was absolutely cutting edge for a console. When it was first released, nerds like me absolutely hated on this machine. We hated on it like you wouldn't imagine. I don't remember how much it cost but we were like, "What is wrong with people? Who would pay all of that for the weakest CPU around, a Celeron? The GPU I think was based on an overclocked Nvidia Geforce 2, which at the time the console came out, was already far outclassed by even the cheap version Geforce 3 series. Knowing that it was just a Windows 2000 PC with low end hardware, we couldn't imagine why anyone would buy a gaming PC like that, not to mention you couldn't upgrade it.
Im sitting here wondering why anyone would ever buy a PS5 Pro instead of a PC.. the infinitely better deal is a PC, yet it's the same lazy console gamer mindset that still prevails is "PCs are difficult to use" 😂😂
Yep, I remember getting ostracized for having it instead of the illustrious PS2. Now looking back, I'm wondering how anybody played on PS2 given most of the games run like ass.
@@bravefastrabbit770 it's set to power limit not thermals like you can on PC! And there isn't enough power there to make the APU "thermal throttle" The maximum draw on the APU is 200W! You can cool that adequately with the vapour chamber heat sink on SX! In exactly the same way, if you tried to LN2 a series X you wouldn't get any more performance out of it because it's power set...not thermal set!!
I think the water cooling purposes are to 1.) See if it’s possible in a small footprint, and 2.) If so use the cooler to make the XBox last much longer. Not to perform better because there is no current way to overclock a console CPU (as of now) and really no need to.
@@kid_rajah 1) i doubt it's just to see if it is possible in a small package, sicne it's probably just to see if it's possible at all. 2) water cooling is absolutely NOT more reliable or long lasting than air cooling, this is not for longevity. 3) even if there was a way to overclock, most games would just have a hard limit on 30, 60 or 120 frames, so at best you'd be on slightly better resolution, and again, as @senilestix said, it's power limited, so even that would be hard
for the silver flat cable, you could try cable sleeves, there are many diameters and specially larger ones come flat instead of round, one of the sizes must fit around it
Water Cooling With Same Performance????? This Be ome Overpriced and Still Cant Beat PC Its Just Become Moded XboX Performance is Same Heat??? This will do Same as Normal XboX XboX Have Setting on It No OverClock Cant OverClok
Video came on feed, Loved it!! Thumbs up for the presentation and skills and the end look of xbox series x. Does look like the world's greatest 'looking' xbox but had a quick search through your videos... is there a follow up on thermals comparisons ? those i would love to see
man this looks So so nice and while i will never buy Xbox again after i had Xbox One X the Xbox Series X is a very well designed console unlike that crap PS5 but unfortunately like PS5 Xbox flaps on it's face even harder when it comes to software like OS and games but then again PS5 is closing the gab on that too very quickly
My only thought was that you coulda made the ssd easier to remove but its beautiful either way. Yes i know xbox encrypts the ssd but it woulda been coold to do it either way.
Usually, these kinds of mods end up feeling like prototypes or proof of concepts, even in their finished state. This one, however, feels like a genuine product, like something I’d actually bother going through with, rather than appreciate from a distance. Wonderful work.
Id buy this as a kit,, maybe start a fan page for a minimum number of pre orders,, i think you would be suprised how many orders you would get and id be happy to wait 6 months to get mine, liked and subbed,, good work
There are a lot of stuff that can be optimized better, but I get that is for fun. However a Raspberry Pi for monitor a temperature and adjust a fan/pump is OVERKILLED like nothing else, you can do it way easier and if not good with electronics there are literally 2€$ board for manage that quite good.
