I feel Ash Blossom is going to be vital next format. With Unchained likely to be one of the best decks, Floow and Branded are likely to rise in popularity, due to stellar Unchained match-ups, and Ash Blossom answers those decks neatly, as well as having some Unchained stoppage if played right.
Additionally, one other benefit you get to playing dog and this is kinda a player choice but it gives you Rank 8 accessibility if you want to play something like Dingirsu which historically has been done before. Coder our resident Unchained player has utilized that
I was at a locals yesterday and watched a Floo against evil Eye Match and in game first the Evil Eye player won bc he used cross out on teraforming 😂 The floo guy immediatly scooped 😂😂😂
You should still play Blue Doggo. The reason why is because when it comes to playing around stuff like Nib you chain Rakea to pop another unchained dude. Nib resolves tributes board and gives you token and summons itself. New chain the card you destroyed triggers, and Yamma triggers, summon blue dog and another unchained card then you can use your opponents Nib with blue dog to link into Rage. And then ideally you'd still have Escape to pop the other unchained on your opponents turn.
My point of view is that if I was playing a 40 card deck dog wouldn't be in it, my current build is 45 cards and has 1 in it. It's good to have terrible to draw. I guess you miss it if you don't have it
@@blackmanta66 I would still play it in 40 and I do. Drawing it is like drawing any other one of brick so regardless of however many cards you play you could still draw it. Also it's not like there aren't ways to get it out of your hand. You can discard it off Abom, Gryphon, or Unicorn. If you have more ways to extend beyond your normal combo you can summon it from hand off the twins. It's not the worse thing in the world at least it does still do something.
i dont use the ddd engine in mine tour guide almost never resolves and although you can continue to special summon iff you have aruha you will be at 5 sommons before you get your negate on board in addition i think that is too much extra deck space wasted on a negate. i would prefer to run more extenders and recovery over disruption in adition i run 3 chaos hunters and the dark spirit cards so my deck tends to be more gy focused anyway but that is just my preferance also i dont use pot of pot of p ofting fo trade-in intead im runing 2 abominable unchained soul and 3 disasters and 1 card destruction pot of p cost doesnt work for me id much rathe set up my gy
I would argue to have more of Unchained Abominable Soul in the deck and use one Dark Spirit of Banishment. Dark Spirit has a Hand Trap and GY effect, it can special summon a Lv. 8 Fiend monster during the Battle Phase and redirect attacks to it. It can bounce back to the hand if you a Lv. 8 Fiend monster goes to the GY. You can also discard this card with Abominable Soul's effect, it comes back and it is a good ressource that you can use multiple times. I saw so many people building the deck in a similar way that's why i would argue for two different cards and with it a slightly different playstyle. I would put the Iris Swordsoul in this deck aswell because if you use Tourguide form the Underworld, the monst it special summons has it's effects negated and you can special summon her right away. With it, you have a answer right away if your opponent special summons a monster. Sauge de Fleur is alsway good with Unchained, she can be special summoned by popping your monster and one of your opponents cards. You destroy Rakea, Aruha or Arama with it and can use their effects right away and got rid of one of your opponents cards. Graydle Eagle is also cool with Unchained, if you have Aruha in you hand you can normal summon Graydle Eagle and pop it with Aruha. The Eagle uses it's effect that allows you to target a monste ron your opponents field, equip it with itself and control it. Bonus, if the opponents monster is a Mikanko and you equip Graydle Eagle to it because of it's destruction effect, it counts as an equippment card. Which means it works with Mikankos effect if they are equipped with a equipp card. So it's a good Mikanko counter. But even against other decks, Graydle Eagle with Unchained is pretty good. Since everyone will try Unchained out, it's always good to look for more unusual or diffrent ways to build this deck. I myself enjoy it in Master Duel to have Iris, Sauge de Fleur and Graydle Eagle in my Unchained deck. So, i recommend these cards as alternatives.
In alot of comp scenes there is something called gentlemans agreements. They all agree not to use the cheesy stuff. Yugioh players tho don't have alot of integrity but for like the top 100 players in the world theyd probably agree to it. Just a thought.
I dont really think thats a thing in the comp scene in general, you look to win, not be liked by your opponent. Things like consistency put people off playing the chessy stuff
@@NovatoEx yes for sure but if all players agree on something that is unbalanced that will ultimately elevate the level of play then I think it could be an option. Look at the 3v3 ycs pak vs Jesse it was literally decided by anti spell despite the caliber of player those 2 are. That's cheesy if that's what separates the top. The pros also acknowledge this themselves. Even if lower level players didn't honor it it wouldn't matter much since those aren't the players consistently topping ycs. If players win with the cheesy stuff then it should be an asterisk on the win. Just an opinion tho. Too many cheesy cards to keep track of and add to a list but I do feel the most broken we all agree should be banned should be on that list. Shifter, anti spell, d barrier game would be better off without them
Sadly in a game like Yu-Gi-Oh where the cheesy stuff is something you decide to play or not when building your deck you can't really gentleman out of it without putting yourself in a major disadvantage in a tournament
