Building my first real complex item out of 8020 extruded aluminum. These skills will translate into building a camper van kitchen galley, dresser, etc. I'm using Blum drawer glides, nylon feet, corner brackets, panel mounts, and inside hidden corner brackets.

We are SO grateful we stumbled across your videos! We have been so overwhelmed with our 80-20 building and your videos have relieved our anxiety! Thank you so much for posting these :)

You're welcome. I learned a lot from George @HumbleRoad so I recommend you check him out.

Nice! Got me more confident that I can do that. Looking for a follow up video on the drawer install

Glad to inspire! Hope your project goes well. In a moment of magic measurements, a 5 gallon bucket fit inside this cube without the drawers and has such become a stool holding a toilet bucket. Not so glamorous but very functional.

It looks like you could have just flipped the drawer glide supports over without removing them. You’d have had to unload and reload the glide nuts as you had it standing proud of the uprights, but much easier.

Perhaps so, but when you're in the moment, you have to use what your brain gives you, haha! Sometimes there is only 1 good way, sometimes there are several ways.

"The flange goes to the inside of the 80/20" - I assume you're talking about using the flat t-nuts that have that little raised bit around the threaded hole, to give it some more thread. Why should that go inside? It seems to me it should point outward, so that raised bit helps keep the t-nut centered side-to-side by fitting into the slot...?

That's correct, the flange (raised bit) goes to the inside. Check out this video from 8020 on t-nuts. It includes a special one they offer for self-centering ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nK-DsJxAdwM.html

I'm wandering why do you Yanks call these *Aluminium* prifiles 8020? 😂

Kind of like a tissue for blowing your nose we often say Kleenex (the brand), 8020 is a brand at 8020.net

And, I'm not a Yank. I'm in NC. Not all Americans are Yanks 😂

@@VanTransitions Thank you for answering. In Europe the most popular AL profile system are Bosch-Rexroth and Item for industry. They're pricey as hell but worth every penny. I used them from simple jig and fixture builds, robot grippers to fully automated production lines.
