Building Your Book Platform: Megan McRainey 

An important aspect of a nonfiction book proposal is its platform. Publishers often want to know that you’ve created and cultivated a base of people interested in your topic and that you can communicate effectively in multiple media outlets (such as radio, television, and newspapers).
