personally I put a wiseco forged piston in it with the hot rods heavy duty crank, but I don't see why a stock piston wouldn't work. the way I see it is its just a stronger crank. Maybe with some of their other cranks that might be the case, but with the one I got it doesn't seem like it'd be a problem
