The BUK-M1 is a self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile system developed by the Soviet Union and Russian Federation.
In 1996, Russia settled old Soviet-era debpts with Finland by selling three BUK-M1 anti-aircraft missile units.
BUK-M1 was in active service in Finland for just under 20 years, but ended up at the center of international accident investigation.
