I have 2 BUL Armory pistols. Both 2011 format. SAS II Tac Commander and SAS II Ultralight. Both are above average firearms. The high capacity mags (19 & 16 beans respectively) gives you more than sufficient capacity. Very accurate even with my age (68). Slides are tight, grips aggressive, mag releases are excellent. Triggers are excellent. A 10:10 for both. I highly recommend this 2011 platform.
Glad to see Mrs. Outlaw shooting. I think the second opinion/view point is well worth the time for women and people with small/medium hands. Great video as always.
Watch from 8:57 how his shots are perfectly in time with his natural respiratory pause. Wouldve never noticed this if it wasn't for the cold weather. One day ill be this disciplined.
I'm a fan of Bul Magnum Research , I just purchased a Desert Eagle Undercover 45ACP couple weeks back and I haven't get to the range with it yet, a 3 inch 45 will be interesting but I like it, hopefully it will be a great carry option, beautiful pistol. I feel pretty confident in these 45 pistols. Thanks for the great review 👍
@@BULARMORY you made a beauty I dont have a 1911 carry an Inox PX4 storm but definitely looking at your company when Im ready to pull the trigger on one. Really digging your 2011s as well !
I was in a gun shop a couple days ago, and an old guy was in there and we were chatting and we both like classic guns and the 1911 came up in the conversation. After a few minutes he said I wanna show you something, he showed me one of these and dude........the slide was buttery smooth and the trigger was so good. Not to soft but not to dense just perfect where you can stay on target when pulling that trigger. For almost ten minutes me and that old fella were just playing with the slides and triggers I never handled a brand new gun that had such a good trigger and slide. They only had them in 9MM unfortunately I want one in 45 but the old guy said once they get some in 45 he’ll save one for me and himself because he wanted one to lol. Hopefully they will have one in 45 when I turn 21 because that would be the best present.
That's a very good looking gun. Runs like a champ. I'd like something like this chambered in a .38 super, but in a double stack 1911 A-2 style. I'd really like to start building those, to be honest. But, this year hasn't been the greatest to me. Great video, keep it up.
I just added a one piece full guide rod to my Springfield Armory Ronin (10mm Automatic) and my Colt Series 80 (45 Automatic) and man I forget how cool they look and how more balanced the guns are out front love the vid!!
I bought one of these babies and let me tell you it's 5" bull barrel and it is like the one you shoe accept mine is 45 ACP This gun is better than the Kimber that I have or any other 45 ACP in my collection. I bought mine through Oryx Arms bAsed out of Houston. This pistol shoots much better than I do. Even the ammo crunch I'm still shooting and training every Saturday. I'm not getting paid by Bul . I'm just a customer.
I love the 1911...had one built back in the late 80s/early 90s...before they came from the factory with the extras I hadda pay for...I had a Smith & Alexander magwell..flat mainspring...extended slide stop...beavertail safety, 20 lpi checkering on the grip strap and cocking serrations at the front of the slide...thebonlybthing I regret is the adjustable Millett sight that hugged out so much material on the slide I can't replace it with a Novak style sight...thought I'd need it for different bullet weights...zinreload...but have stuck with 200 gr LWSC projos since I started reloading for that particular pistol
Excellent video review HO, thanks for sharing ! I JUST found one of these locally and had hoped to find some opinion and insight. I'll say, I loved the overall feel and the incredible smoothness of this pistol. The trigger feels lighter than the stated poundage and was very clean. This gun is loaded with details. Thanks for sharing your impressions !
Bul makes fantastic firearms their entry level 1911s can be had for under 900 dollars and are in my opinion the best option at the sub 1000 dollar price point
Great video and glad to hear that the pistol and kit comes in a black flight recorder style box. It's better than a card board box. Excellent shooting. Another great review.
Finally a review of the favourite pistol in my safe ! I have the Saw version with the TiN barrel - it’s very cool looking and the saw cuts are toslly tactile and useful Slide racks like it running on ceramic ball bearings It’s so fun to shoot - I pull off better 25 yard groups with this gun than any of my other pistols Barely recoils at rapid fire pace - and shoots ridiculously tight groups at full speed Full disclosure- it did need a little smithing out of the box ; but I’m told that’s not typical However ; post tune up I, I’ve shot over 3k thru it and anyone who’s shot it is really impressed I have shot 1911’s at twice this price and feel this stacks up really well
Is this a Series 70 or 80 1911? Are these 9 round magazines, or are the 10-round mags just loaded with 9? I've had an STI Sentry for years in .40 cal and this BUL reminds me of it in many ways - many of the same features. Smooth like glass, accurate to the point of being ridiculous and a pleasure to shoot. I don't consider myself a crack shot by any means, but I love taking it to the range because it makes me look like a rock star. Lol. It's a keeper. I more than understand Mr. Outlaw's affinity for 1911s.
I'd really appreciate your opinion on the Bul Armory commander 9mm 1911 compared to Springfield Armory Ronin Operator 4.25 for long term use. Hello from a fellow Iowan 🤙🏽
I have the most basic version from magnum research and it’s amazing. The fit and finish is next level and it was less than $1k. Doesn’t have the magwell or ambi safety or extended mag release but it’s easy to add those.
Thank You for doing this review. It got me looking at what else Bul Armory has and I wasn't disappointed. They sell a 4.25 inch barrel SAS 2 that is just like the Costa Carry Comp but for LESS than half the price, now that is a gun I want to own.
Just got my Wilson Combat EDCX9 back from having the True Zero Optic System installed. If your interested, I'll loan the gun to you for a follow-up review of the EDCX9 with their optic system installed.
Im looking to buy a 1911, i have 2 staccato 2011s which has changed my mind towards 1911s. Would you say this bul armory gun is better than a Kimber? Great vid as always
I waited for your review on this for a while :) Thanks, subbed :) Thought I would spend my savings on a Shadow2 for a fun-range gun, but his little BUL is intriguing a lot. Hard time choosing now!
I can't wait to get my self and channel in a position to donate to the cause.... So ,on an so for well thanks for the vids and great content.......🇺🇲🇺🇲
I've seen several gun reviews of different gun to this company and all seem to be real positive. Honest Outlaw they have a polymer cheaper CZ style would bee a good review.
Hello. I´m new to your channel and I have seen your "under 3/4&$500 pistols" series. After that, I asked myself "does this man know the Argentinian "Bersa TPR9" pistol? If your answer is "yes" I´d like to know your opinion of her, and if "no", I also humbely would suggest you to try her. In other YT channel, they speek very highly of this handgun. After seen how thorughly you test the guns, it would be a nice background. BTW: I like your content. Greetings from NE patagonia, Argentina.
I did NOT watch this video! All too often when I watch one of the “Outlaw’s” excellent demonstrations of a 1911 I feel compelled to purchase that exact item. He’s not gonna “get me” this time. :)
Great review, and love your work, but I'm not paying 1,700.00 for a pistol. I'm not telling anyone else not to, just that I don't need a pistol for competition at 75 + yards. Other than being too expensive for me, it's a beautiful pistol.
please do a comparison between bul armory sas ultra light 2 and the wilson edc x9 s . Also if you could do a review. of a 3 inch barrel .45 acp 1911 from kimber , colt , Springfield armory relative reliability out of the box , break in period and ammo sensitivity . staccato c2 vs. wilson edc x9 . thanks.
80-100 yards with a pistol???? Good lord!!!! I'm lucky to be consistent at 25 yards tops...I gotta be doing something wrong. Time to get too work...lol. it's gotta be in my trigger pull... I can hit 100- 200 yards with a scoped rifle...lol..barely. of course I don't have the luxury of endless ammo either. At any rate, I'm in the market to get my 1st 1911 9mm...of all the reviews, it appears Bul Armory is a home run...(if I can find one), it's mine
you should try a Kimber! The consensus on the gun is completely polarized. Either people love or hate them. I had a Kimber Pro Stainless II for a while and loved it. Although after shooting about 30 rounds my fiber optic front sight kept falling off and i had to put new ones in before every range trip which i found weird. Maybe i wasn't installing the "bubble" correctly.
