enchanting requires you buy the enchant system in the upgrade shop its not a default feature available to the anvil.

As a witness statement, I've played this game since day 1, and have only realized this since 0.5. Yes, I've bought the upgrade, but I'm a dum dum who bought permanent upgrades because it's a permanent upgrade and doesn't read its description.

I mean I don't think 1.0 was ever an endgoal thats like calling minecraft version 2.something the endgoal you know these types of games are going to be constantly update especially if its fuelled by a community as huge as the hololive fandom the only time this game will ever stop updating is when hololive will stop existing or being relevant which is very unlikely

Because this is the game that became popular, for exemple. Some people call fixed angle cameras games as resident evil style but alone in the dark came first but resident evil got popular and after it dozens of clones where made, another one game is the metroidvania, why this kind of game that is a giant map you slowly progress and explore and back track to find secrets and upgrade your caracter in a map squared shaped isn't called only metroid style? why castlevania? since the first castlevania that came at same time as the first metroid was waaaaaaaay different gameplay? Because Castlevania Symphony of the Night made the same style as metroid and people decided to call it metroidvania instead of castlevania style because it changed after years and became even more popular. ANOTHER game, this one is called Rogue and came on apple pcs back in the 80s, as you can see it IS the "rogue-like" game, the first one and it is popular and after it a few games on same style got released but the game called rogue legacy became popular and many games was made after it. It's the popularity that defines the name not always because some people call vampire survivor a bullet heaven the opposit of bullet hell like gradius, raiden, recca, batsugun, some just call it a survivor game. The "souls" game first was ninja gaiden from nes because it is VERY HARD and was the foundation of the souls game but the "souls" name came from demon souls form PS3 exclusive to japan and er had to buy the international edition that came in english and not every country had the chance to get it and one day the dark souls came and it got popular. This is why, so you are free to call it anyway you wanna and nobody is going to change the way they call it. =)

Parody isn't the right word. But I get what you're saying. But Holocure is an improvement on VS and goes beyond it.

It's the game that became the most popular yes but it's not like no others were popular before it. Take for example "Alien Shooter" by Sigma released in 2003 became popular enough to have multiple re-releases, two expansions, two sequels with another 3 expansions and 2 remasters. but whatever.. I just think it's kind of silly. It's like calling an arcade-style fps game a Call of Duty style game just cause that's the most popular one.

I've just been calling them 'bullet heaven' games after someone else in another comments section called them that. Instead of the enemy having all the bullets and you having a peashooter, now you have all the bullets. ...It admitly works better for games with a lot of projectile weapons.
