I bought a thunderbird 500 before 4 years, i basically bought it for long driving experiences but now I realised it was a mistake .firstly let me tell you thunderbird is a superb bike be it the comfort, power or looks everything was bossy but handling the big bike in city traffic and short distances was somewhat like a task I had to perform everyday moreover every now and then I had minor issues which were very difficult to be dealt with like a sudden puncture or self problem and the brakeshoe wears off very often .now dragging this 200kgs beast needs lots of energy and determination .so I thought of an alternative and I bought a jupitar classic .now it had been 2 months am riding it .from my experience it lacks power but comfort is better then thunderbird and it seems you dont have to do anything just sit on it and you will be there no worries about traffic or parking .braking is efficient and a lot of spaces to carry your stuff, it will give you a mileage of about 48 in city traffic .i am totally satisfied with it .so I would say if you are a matured guy who takes a bike for comfort and convinience without much adrenaline rushing your veins all the time then go for jupitar .its the best choise for a scooty right now moreover its 1/3 the price of thunderbird .but if you want to make a presence and that alpha male attitude to impress others sacrificing your own convinience and comfort and if a sound(dub dub) makes you feel like a king .you are the most sort out customer of the royal enfields .best of luck happy riding .
