Damn! That plate may have stopped the 9 & 45, but as a paramedic I would guess both blunt force impacts would have fractured the skull and most likely been fatal. Still, that was cool as hell! And "YES" to thermal content.

Something that would be better than a BP hat would be a BP vest that comes with a welded neck guard tall enough that covers 360 degrees of your head. Leaving only your eyebrows down to the bottom of your mandible exposed. With 2 inch spacing to allow some movement of the head. No weight placed on the neck or head. Weight is transferred on the legs and back. The metal of choice would be titanium as to save weight and maintain durability. Eh? Ain't that great ?
