I know there is at least on Giant Sequoia in Texas now. A buddy got on in an American Box and I gave it to my parents to plants at their house. In a century its going to be dumb. A 200'+ tree surrounded by 20'-30' Oak trees. I hope my grand kids enjoy the stupidity for me.

@@SoI_Badguy I believe there is more power behind the bigger bullet because the smaller bullet gets destroyed much more easily and a bigger heavier bullet causes more pressure just to get going and larger bullet mass has a harder time to slip between the rifling cause all that material has to be displaced first

I was considering buying one for fun. Was able to rent one at local range. 8 3/4" Barrel and 400 grain....I was like "Nope".

@@Catgat37 I bought the 460 Magnum instead. It is the longer, thinner, faster brother to the 500. 240 grains will move at 2400 fps, vs. the 800 fps of the 45acp. It has slightly less recoil than the 500, but I cast my own bullets and load my own and the light to mid loads are fun. The mid loads are still 44 mag level, but the gun itself is very well made and has a trigger to die for. Once in a while I shoot the hot loads for giggles or let others try it. Even with the light loads, I shoot 8" steel plates at 110 yards........the long barrel really helps with shooting longer distances.
