We would like to apologize about the flag, it was an editing mistake. Unfortunately, we cannot re-edit it as the program is already finalized, but we sincerely hope you can understand that it really was a mistake and we mean no offense to Philippines, a country Korea loves. We will make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future! ☺️ Part 2 & 3 are now available! It must be tough being the only Filipino in the school and especially since he is still in his early developmental stages in life. Feeling like an outcast in a homogeneous society like Korea definitely changes his worldview and the view of himself. Hopefully one day he grows up embracing his Filipino roots tho. @J S I understand why ur bullied, with the communist China bullying the Philippines and all, Filipinos tend to vent that frustration to chinese here in the Philippines. I don't know if you have the same mentality as the communist China but bullying is still not ok. For me, if it's just words thrown at u, I treat that as just teasing and I'd throw words back at them.

@J S nah any type of bullying is unacceptable. Not everyone have the same tolerance to stress they received from other people. It's either they learn from it or screw theirselves more. Eitherway, bullying fucks people up. If you say psychological bullying is a blessing then you're just justifying bullying itself.

My kid goes to an international school and is exposed by other nationalities and I would tell her to never discriminate a person base on nationality, religion, color of the skin. But at the same time remind her to never feel inferior and be proud of her nationality and who she is; and base her admiration on the character and integrity of a person and not on his/her country’s gdp, personal wealth, or popular opinion.

I hate how the hosts constantly say that he is like an ordinary korean child. First of all, he is not. They should have let the children feel that being a foreigner is not a sin. There is nothing wrong with that. Like what the other guest said being different does not make you weird. The children does not need to be similar to korean children so they can be seen in a more favorable light. Tbh, the elderly and the media make the children's internalized xenophobia and racism worse.

Sadly, this kind of experience is true not only in Korea but in many places across the world. It's human nature I guess when natives see and interact with others not of their own kind. However, after having experienced other cultures first hand, I noticed there are some places where they're more welcoming and integrative. One such place is the Philippines where I come from. The general sentiment towards foreigners who chose to call the Philippines home seem to be one of friendship and integration. I suspect it stems from a cultural norm that dictates that we should always welcome and treat guests with dignity and hospitality. That it's an honor to be visited at home by others including and specially those who are not locals.

Kids get bullied all the time even with their own countrymen so what more can you expect if one is a foreigner? I know Gabi had it hard and being a kid... it's not easy. Not me, haha, but most people in ph yeah., yeah. They don’t look that good, they mostly have a moon chin. They aren’t even related, but they all look weirdly the same, thought they were brothers and sisters. Studying in a Chinese fil school in the 90s. the three of them looks the same, they weren’t even that umm white. One, when I was in grade 1, in grade two, and these girl who was supposed to be a high school student, but was thinking if she is that dumb to be still a 4th grader in Chinese class. She has the biggest chin. Lol. till I realized one thing. Plastic nowadays, lol. Not saying everyone is good looking in Korea, I’m sure they there would be lots who looks great even without going thru some stitches or knife. Lol . Ph has those kind of people too, it depends if you have money to pamper yourself, and see the big difference. Just saying. Not sure why this was recommended, I paused the vid, and just disliked anyway. I don’t care to watch it. I already know. Lol. They think they are the superior than most Asians. Lmao, they should go to America, they’ll might think twice about the Asian racism. Hahaha. I do used to have a Korean friend, she dated a Filipino guy while studying here, lol. Not my classmate. Just some circumstances that we have no choice but to rent a place in Davao, till he (not gonna elaborate anymore) gets better and we head back in manila. These bunch of Koreans who also rent in the same place suddenly stopped talking to her like they were back in grade school, their mentality goes way back in grade school. She wasn’t even related to them. Lol that’s all I can say. Ps. My dear classmate in grade 4, I tested her intelligence, I asked her if she can write me a Chinese essay, and she told me they weren’t the same. I was confused at that time, she doesn’t look any different at all to anyone around us, but mostly her chin. Lmao. She doesn’t have a great personality either. She always asked money and never pays them back, cause like I said, she was supposed to be a high school student, scamming grade 4 students. She isn’t great looking, second her personality sucks. I mean, the Taiwanese at that time has some weird clothing style back in the 90s, but they look way better than them, also some of my classmates who were from China has some weird sense of style back in the 90s. Yeah, whatever, I was born here tho, as a Chinese fil. Was talking about my classmate who just migrated, and their style. They know Tagalog, but not fluent.. Lol. Again just saying. Lol.
