BULLS OFFSEASON PLAN: Running Out of Options 

Bulls were a top defensive team and top seed until Ball and Caruso got hurt, and after that they lost their identity and relied on DeRozan's hero-ball to win. Even after Caruso came back they forgot the tough perimeter defence that forces turnovers and initiate transitional opportunities.

The Bulls best route is just to run it back. Adding some front court depth is a must and bench production. We sucked at bench scoring on our worst games. We need Coby and the other guys to be consistent off the bench

I really like this Bulls team, if they can manage to stay healthy and or learn how to play around the injuries better they easily could have a good playoff run. I’m not sure about championship yet simply because there’s just so many good teams out there right now.

Love your breakdown man! We need someone who can get rebounds and stop people shooting lay ups. But it was fun being a Bulls fam this year.

As a Bulls fan, this is a good assessment of our "slim" options

You kids are funny... The Bulls obviously need a rim protector. Vuc for Gobert type deal with options. We don't need a stretch 5 or another guard/wing. DeRozan is going to shoot 25 shots a game, Zach needs at least 18 shots a game. Vuc is a scoring big, we're on overload with scorers & 1 facilitator that's looking injury prone in Lonzo Ball & let's not forget that Lonzo turned himself into a good 3pt shooter so that's more shot attempts. Caruso is our best defender, but he obviously can't guard big men which is our kryptonite.

As a warriors fan, I am really surprised that Harrison Barnes is only 29. I thought he was like 35 because he and the warriors go wayyyy back to 2015 and all of that

I don’t think Zach LaVine should even walk away from Chicago , and clearly the Bulls are gonna give him that max money for sure that’s no doubt about that for him

Vucevic + White + 2 picks for AD could work aswell if Lebron understands they’re not winning a championship with that team

From what I have seen from a range of different mock drafts, Agbaji will likely be already taken by the time the 18th pick rolls around. Most mocks have him in top 15 if I recall correctly.

pretty good look at the Bulls and some of their options imo. some changes are definitely coming its just who goes where and who's coming in. a couple things for sure and that is Zach must be signed and the bench must be improved to the highest degree possible. which is going to be some tricky business. Bulls already said "the core" group is coming back which most take to mean the starters, Alex Caruso, and Ayo on a favorable rookie contract. but that leaves half the roster and free agent market to tinker with and not much money or assets to go around. personally I think rebuilding the bench with a good trade and a couple of nice free agent pick ups would make the Bulls tougher and better competitors next season, giving them a shot at matching up well with the top teams in the East. but just how to get it done is somewhat murky still. whatever the case signing Zach is a must. Play him or sign and trade him but the Bulls gotta get him signed.

Thing is, Vooch 17,6 ppg as a 3-4 option (Lonzo was ahead him before his injury) is good! Zach and DeMar averaged ca 25 ppg. You can't assume Vooch average 25 ppg too! Bulls need backup C and PF. I would bet Coby is gone, he needs change of scene, like Markannen. If Coby is gone, bench scoring is as big problem as frontcourt depth.

These ideas were kind of terrible. Outside of the young center trades I mean. AD is a nightmare trade, and adding even more guards is just telling everyone to cook us from the frontcourt. The whole point is to win now, so Coby and P Will should be considered for trading along with a 1st or 2. Try to go for Gobert or maybe Ayton if the Suns somehow don't resign him

If I were the Bulls, I would package Vucevic with Coby white and a 2nd for Gobert. Gobert adds the paint and rim protection that the Bulls lack big time

The biggest problem this year was Covid almost the entire team came down with it and a lot of them were out for a significant amount of time And on top of it all the injuries came right after the guys came back from Covid almost like they weren’t ready Cam newton said it took him six months before he got his win back from his bout with Covid I don’t know exactly how that affected these guys but they really looked when they came back like they were not physically ready Lonzo in injured himself two games back Zack injured himself a week back The real need on this team is a sinner they can move his feet Ingo Chester chess with Giannis Embiid Bam Adebayo Williams And possibly another power forward although they were really effective at small ball in the lead the league in a lot of categories before all the Covid in the injuries came down They may have finished poorly and the stats but they were leading and a bunch of them before the Covid
