My caterer at my wedding was actually pretty rude to some of our guests. Still didn’t sue them.

First she said they never got the appetizers and then she contradicts herself by saying in the same statement, that the appetizers were served with dinner

There are 3 people who truly care about a wedding - The Bride, her mom and the brides best friend. That's it. Save your money and go cheap.

People have to realize that anytime you're dealing with 200-300 people and you have this fairy tail expectation on how everything is going to turnout...chances are you're going to be disappointed! Sounds like she had a wonderful wedding and the guests were happy!

If they discussed $29/per person that would be $4600 w price they pd was $47 but not all the $ was food, it was service too which brings down the $ to $29/head and the other $3k was service. She had no case

Eh this case I agree with judge Judy but if paid for catering (at an appropriate price not cheap quality) and every guests steak ended up being well done, I'd pursue for some of the costs back.

Are y'all really upset about there not being leftovers at a wedding? As long as you and all your guests ate what's the problem? And to say that the guests were drunk so that's why they didn't eat? They're ADULTS. If they want to eat they will eat. Food late or not. I don't even think it's normal in any catering situations for it to be contractually required there be leftovers. Caterers are required to provide food for the amount of people in the room so that at least every person in the room gets a plate. Not a plate and a half or two and half plates. ONE PLATE. Then to say the price went up because of the "atmosphere" that the caterer offered knowing that most of that 2,000+ dollar difference was because of the extra people they added! Maybe her people were sitting in the back doing skewers because you added extra people. Did you ever think about that??

I don’t buy that the guests couldn’t eat because they were drunk. Being drunk makes people want to eat, hence the crazy drunk snacks that people come up with. As long as they weren’t drunk to the point of throwing up, which would be their fault, they should’ve had no problem eating.

Weddings are such a huge waste of money. I paid about $2000 for the entire wedding and reception. Been married 16 years now. Save your money on something more important for your new life together

How much does it cost to get married over there? Silly waste of money. Friends in the UK got married for less than £500. He got a suit from a craft / thrift shop and the bride got a bridesmaid dress from another event. Us friends did the transport, photos (me), and buffet lunch afterwards. The local clergyman was a close friend of the groom and donated his time. Small charge for the room in the church and the couldn't be avoided admin fee for a civil registration. That was it, and they've been together around 20 years!!

I feel bad for the people who were too drunk to eat.

The people she brought weren't doing anything......they were just in the kitchen putting food on skewers. So they were doing something. They were making your food.

I’m assuming that the caterers first language isn’t English, but I have a feeling she should know enough to understand when a judge tells you to be quiet. It’s not her fault your guests were too drunk to eat. It is her fault she was late. It’s also totally impractical to bring four ppl to serve 160 guests. Poor judgement on the caterers part, greed on the brides part.

What kind of Judge is she because she does not know the Law. Threatening to “write a bad review unless you pay $3,000 dollars” is the definition of Extortion.
