The defendant is 100% in the wrong here she scammed her mother and she's trying to scam for this money.

The plaintiff's sister manipulated her mother and now stole the $52,000 for the sole benefit of her. The plaintiff should have sued her sister in a different court for 1/2 of that money. Big injustice. Her sister is a snake!

Very sketch, and painful to watch. The mother should had have her will in a video (especially since she is blind, so it can be questionable if she sign anything). Let her words, be shown coming from her mouth of what she wanted down with her assets. Can't believe a mother having her daughter taking care of her for 14 years but give everything to the other daughter who spent less than a year with her. Not the first cases I had seen like this.

"My mother wanted me to purchase a home for the entire family". JJ: Who lives there? Defendant: Me and my boyfriend. The Defendant also put the house SOLELY in her name. She scammed her mother into buying that house. Her mother was blind and probably had no idea what was going on. I'm beginning to think she did somehow get those papers notarized using dishonest tactics. The house should have been in BOTH their names.

Somebody's bitter. Momma's rolling in her grave. Terrible case. Awful people.

The defendant was just out to get whatever she wanted. She seems too devious and karma is a b****!

My aunt manipulated my father and their surviving siblings to sign documentation that allowed her to sell their mothers land, promising to split the profits verbally. Then copied their signatures on another document that gave her 80% of the profit and they split the remaining 20%. She got over 50k (possibly more)and gave them $300 a piece. Karmas a 🐶 tho.....had a house fire, husband died, health declined and became estranged from family and her kids all in a span of 5 years. Mean old bitty!

JJ was much more relaxed about litigants adressing each other back then these women won't stop talking over each other..

Wrong court. They belonged in probate and the plaintiff might have got real money or forced the sale of the house.

Why didn’t they just go to probate?

I feel so sorry for this woman. It’s despicable that the sister did not just share the money.

JJ always giving great advice: “Move on with your life.” In other words, don’t live in the past, don’t hold grudges, the person who is affected by it the most is you.

I'm an only child of my dad, but he has two stepsons (one is my brother), and they are already dividing up the property among themselves. Neither of their mothers married my dad, but they too want a cut in the estate. I told him he better make sure he has an iron clad will because I'm not dealing with this drama.

Money brings out the worst in some people.

I am so surprised Judge Judy doesn’t don’t dismiss it without prejudice & let her obtain an attorney & sue for her half of everything. 👏🏾👏🏾

It is actually suspicious that the mum dies after 2 weeks after signing over everything she owns into the Defendant's name.

As I thought, the plaintiff was in the wrong court. She ended up with less than ten cents on the dollar for what she should have gotten. Since the show pays the award, the defendant is up $52,000. The younger Judy was more tolerant of the cross talk. The older Judy would have shut it down. Her holding the gavel reminded me of my own mother. If she had a yardstick in her back pocket, it was a big warning that she was at the end of her rope. I don't have any memories of being spanked, but I'm pretty sure it happened. I don't recall it being used a single time if it was in her back pocket.
