He dropped a gem at the end...... "Ain't nothing wrong with losing a fight, it's how you take the loss. And that's in life, it's how you take any loss."
@@TRILLogGOOF I was 21 years young in a brand new off the lot ‘99 Civic…sunroof open, two 12’s in the trunk. Everyone could hear me coming from 3 blocks away. Clear as day knew what I was slapping.
To be honest…I only ran thru the first 5 songs on the album. That was it. Hi Life and Riding Dirty were ok too but the first 5 were enough. I’m on the west coast…we feel that shit. Those other songs are more of some Texas shit.
Mr. B High sir , I am a Palestine boy from Germany and I grew up on UGK and even read Pimp C's book . Hearing Bun tell the history of tracks like pocket full of stones, murder and One day . . . There arent words to describe how legendary and sublime that is. Thank you so much for your platform and what you are doing . Country rap tunes gets major play in the streets of Europe . Thank you sir !
Y’all talking bout “Well it’s Bun B bitch and I’m the king of movin’ chickens, not them finger lickins, sticking niggas that be trickin’, you need a swift kickin’ “ That verse? Then yea top 5. Him and Andre 3000 best lyricist out the south. Ima say it…
He not f king underrated cut the bull off..he a legend respected for north to south to east to west..how the f is that underrated. ..just because u not on a jay z level of fame don't mean you underated..iam soo tired of all you guys throwing that word around every chance they get
He's a legend, nothing underrated about UGK, Los Angeles had to fight to get in hip hop and accepted just like the south had to, new York didn't like anyone but east coast
@@eazymoneymane7789New York back then didn’t like anyone except New York. Philly and Boston had to fight for respect. Even in Jersey we had to fight for respect and we’re right next door.
Listen to the song murder on ugk album he ripped that verse....not promoting violence just know he was speaking on what happens in our neighborhoods and when our country goes to war which is a "killing" which can be self defense aswell all killings arent murder So i think the name shoukd be diff but still that verse is fire .... And that goes to the rest of the youth today aswell!
If someone who has never been to the South asked for an album to describe the South.. "RIDIN DIRTY" is it. It is the South no matter what part you from.
This interview has me saying that Bun B is one of my favorite people on this here planet💯 I'm from that era where if you haven't tasted your own blood, you can't talk ish and not be able to back it up! "The Pimp and the Bun" Greatest Rap Duo Of All Time💯
I was 16 yrs old when ridin' dirty dropped, and I can honestly say the message(s) in that album saved me on so many levels at that time in my life, I'm serious and grateful🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
You Have to be talking about when Sam Goody was @ Red Bird Mall?!...Man, if so I met them there too. They used to always have the best Rap/Music 🎶 Artist coming there. I met Outkast,8Ball&MJG and Mr.Mike there that same year in 96' Sophomore Highschool year. I'm sure you probably met them Too if that's the Sam Goody you're talking about that was upstairs on the 2nd Level🤞
Man this is about the best fucking interview I've heard on this station keep it up and hurry up and get the full interview out I'm gonna have to save this shit Bun B and Pimp C are in my top 5! Ain't nobody been better.
Man Bun B stay dropping knowledge every clip. I love hearing the UGK story. Both him and Pimp C went through a lot of stuff leading up to Riding Dirty. I hope this interview be super long cuz i wanna hear more what Bun talking about. I'm glad pimp made them some faster tracks to rap over
I remember hearing a verse on TI’s album and I kept that song on repeat. Bun b was a beast. Made me go back and listen to older albums and I fell in love rap. Long live the Pimp.
When Chad died, (Im from P.A. too), the first thing I said was dam its over, and I wont be able to hear the best rapper ever anymore. Bun is the GOAT. Im a little biased cause we are from the same city, but nobody can out rap him... period.
Bun B is the master of gangsta grease talk on an album.... He is one of my favorite gangsta rappers. Pocket Full of Stones turned me onto this group... When Ridin Dirty dropped, I ran out and bought it. Diamonds and Wood is my favorite track on the album.
Highly recommend anyone who hasn't to check out the entire "Ridin Dirty" album, it's a certified classic (along with ALL of UGK's records but you know what I mean). Go listen to "Touched" right now and tell me that track doesn't just make you start movin without even thinkin about it!
Super Tight is a slept on album... So many classics came out in 1994 that kinda overshadowed it though. 1994 was Biggie and Nas mania too. Was cats on the East Coast even playing UGK?
