Once travel becomes safe again, I would love to see a meeting between Bunny the dog and Billi the cat with both sets of buttons, if that can be arranged! It would be interesting to potentially see a conversation between a cat and a dog, haha.

I think the biggest issue might be the fact that Billie calls one of her toys “bunny.” That might be too confusing for them... But maybe not, since there are other homophones they’re familiar with like here/hear.

my dog so far has 3 buttons, which he sometimes actually uses for what he really wants to say. Alot of the time though, all the buttons basically mean 'attention'. So if my son and I are trying to have a conversation that doesn't involve the dog, he will just start pushing rando buttons to interrupt and make sure the world revolves around its natural center, him.

context isn't clear. A haha would take alot of time just to get the dog into the concept of laughter. It's a "i find it funny" and keep on trying to teach your dog the concept of funny. Even a mean laugh is funny to the one who laughs. The context is much more difficult. Haha that's I will stab you" is a part of funny. Or "haha i killed the cat" for a dog may be funny but isn't a haha you would expect. The expression of fun would be as arbitrary to the dog as love.

My goodness, Bunny's post-bath tantrum is a lot like my Mo's post-bath tantrum (except with a bit less zoomies). Is Bunny a bath time/ water girl at all? Also my goodness, the head shake! Mo does that often when she has something cloth, like a glove or sock. it's extra floppy and extra funny!
