Why wouldn't you defend the truth? There are natural preservatives like salt and vinegar which will even keep a homemade 100% natural burger away from forming mold. It's not about defending, it's about telling the truth. Wouldn't eat at Mc Donalds or burgerking anyway though
Burger king makes their burgers from natural ingredients, so naturally mold forms faster on them, Id rather eat a burger like that than a burger that stays eatable for years
Only few understand the GENIUS of this spot! At day 34, that Whopper was moldy, meaning there is less chemical stuff in, meaning it kinda healty compared to other foods. And it's brilliant
Yeah so brilliant that most of their customers are too stupid or too uncaring to notice that, and anyone who does understand the at doesn’t eat at Burger King anyways, and they also just solidified the fact I am never eating at Burger King again
This is one of those moments where you’re disgusted by a food product and you’re still eating it. Now that Burger King is going to get known for this ad I think it is the perfect opportunity for them to rename their whoppers as the, Krabby patty that killed the health inspector.
@@slovenlyelk898yeah I got the comparison it was going for immediately. But to be honest BK needs to stop trying to get more customers by subtley saying “MCDONALDS IS WORSE THAN WE ARE! DOESNT MCDONALDS SUCK EVERYONE!” IN their ads. If they really wanna be on top one day they need to distance & distinguish their establishment from McDonalds so people think of THEM first when they’re considering fast food
@@maenad1231 BK is showcasing how FRESH their ingredients are vs. McDonalds'. Some ppl may not know that a McDonald's hamburger doesn't biodegrade, i didn't.
All I can think of is that one episode of SpongeBob with the health inspector. A kids show featuring poisoning a customer and then trying to evade police and burry the body. Nice
It doesn't matter whether people understand or not, BK made a commercial that make people associate whooper with rotten burgers now, that's what matters.
The cycle of death is never a beautiful thing. What things decompose and don't get eaten my bugs or have bloating hours after death. Hamburger meat so not be a freak of nature its not like its jerky its very juicy fresh. If it stay fresh at room temperature for more then a week and not mold that very scary. Let alone a month or more. its like the burger at mcdonalds before the new quarter pound were preserved like a dead body but never put in there grave but instead are stomachs
@@baldyairkid1831 Its a horrible horrible idea...now people will see that picture in the heads when they think of that item....you want food to look fresh and delicious when you advertise...to put that association in your head
@@donkey3187 You get it sir. Fire everyone. I worked in Advertising for 15 years. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired and blacklisted from the industry. I prefer Burger King over McDonalds but man, I don't think I'll ever eat another burger from Burger King again. On a sub-conscious level I can't un-see what they just showed me. I'd be surprised if this didn't hurt Burger King's bottom line.
Well this kinda says something about how "freshly made" the burgers from Burger King are. If they keep their burgers locked in a basement for 34 days before warming them up.... Sounds appetising.
People say it's disgusting presentation, humanely speaking. But for realistically perspectives, it's a good knowledge as to the quality hygiene of what we're eating. Nah, I almost never ate Burger King, myself, maybe because the competition in Indonesia is just that much.
You know that even homemade burgers can look fresh after many years? Salt and Vinegar are natural preservatives which prevents even 100% natural Burgers from forming a mold. Makes your high school teacher look kinda dumb in believing that old myth of the never molding mc donalds burger
Yes it looks disgusting, but its genius. Sadly the people arent and are only repelled by this. The burger actually molds, unlike mcdonalds which theres videos of burgers from mcdonalds opened decades later with 0 mold.
Great advertisement !!! This means that all the “panino” is fresh, mold grows on natural products, this is the message! You have to know that in Iceland, for example, a “panino” of the main competitor has been stored since 2009, but it has not decomposed after more than 10 years!!!
@@ogcodvideos6546 What a rare subset of society you must move in to know that food left out gets moldy. Tell us, did you have to live among Food to understand it? How long before Food accepted you as one of its own?
@@PleasantFellow he was saying what makes this add make people go want to get the burger. I said because it's showing its a REAL burger. And molding burger is a sign it's real. Can't believe I had to explain this to you🤦♂️
'Well, I am definitely going to eat my next one immediately, the same day I buy it. I won't leave it on the countertop for a month first'. Sadly, that's the obvious reaction that will occur from most people? They simply won't understand the message.
I respectfully disagree. Appetite appeal is everything in the food industry especially when it comes to advertising. This turned me off from ever eating another Burger from BK again. I'm sure eventually that imagery will wear off, but right now I'm traumatized by it.
It's good they made this video because it shows what happens to real meat not like a McDonald's burger that looks the same years later LMAO Burger King is my favorite of all time
@@radical-dude Its terrible advertising...seeing something you want to eat with mold all over it will gross most people out and their brains will associate that food with mold...not a good plan - thats why food ads normally make food look fresh and delicious...I get what they are trying to do, but really really bad idea.
They did it to show that their burger is natural and not full of artificial preserves unlike other fast food restaurants the food doesnt age because it is not natural and u healthy so they are just making a statement that their burger is natural
@@jameskelley5918 Yes, indeed, and the 'everybody is talking about it" angle is something I'm sure the agency will stress. But the fact that many people are talking about how disgusting it looks and how that reflects on everything BK puts on the menu is the poison pill that the agency won't be talking about.
Came to see a video - it was actually hard to SEE the vid, considering half way through you covered the vid I was watching, with ads for your other vids, no doubt buried behind more ads to watch more vids, covered no doubt with even more ads.. get the picture? (I didn't, just ads) Cheers
Is the moldy whopper still available anywhere? Or was I just for a limited time? I didn't get a chance to try one when they came out. Mold is my favorite burger topping but they never have it at McDonalds. Glad BK stepped their game up!
Three years and three ad agencies to come up with this? And they are claiming it is receiving rave reviews online? I thought ALL the car insurance ads on TV was the biggest insult to our collective intelligence. I was wrong! Burger King needs to get back to hiring people with a clue.
The McDonalds one never got moldy because it eventually dried out completely... Also the ones from the experiments where literally only the bun and the patty, no sauce, salad or other moist vegetables.
@@darkseid3225 coming from a guy that makes videos about his 'rv' and thinks macdonalds isnt real food .... despite how many people eat it every day. you seem like a real winner - well done champ
