I have bought and seen plenty of pre release copies (mostly radio and press material) of Burial and its basically what you describe, white paper sleeve with Burial and the track name lol
Hardcore is where the real UK underground street sound started really. It was the first style to breakaway from the House umbrella, which was a US thing. Everything roots from it - Jungle, DnB, UK Garage, Grime, Dubstep
Yeah but burial was a master of 2step dub and break beats. Im not so sure about his turn to hardcore in recent releases. Also wheb did he leave hyperdub? Is this a real release?
@@bobbydeazy He hasn't left Hyperdub, he releases on few other labels here & there. This is just another one of those rare moments. And yes i agree he mastered and even created his own signature sound foolin' around with those two sub-genres you mentioned but for some reason he left it and has yet to return to it. But, to be fair, even from interviews that go back as far as the Untrue LP he mentioned 90s Hardcore/Jungle and the ambition to wanna create his own tunes and here we are all these years later seeing him do it. So it's all nothing random if you've been paying close attention to him. Also, a sample he goes back to using quite often now "this is who i am" may refer to the fact that this sound is what he is and always wanted to be. Not the Untrue sound.
7:45 what a sublime shift. love his long compositions. it’s like listening to a fever dream, where memories of different nights blend together, somehow making perfect sense. 10/10 🙏
If you are like me it reminds you how good The Prodigy were when they first started out. This track is awesome and has the production you get nowadays, but it doesnt half make you reminisce a bit man too
The best since "Four Walls"...these Prodigy vibes embeeded in typical Burial composition are simply epic- i will listen to this for decades...from 03:20 on all clubs going crazy
Nop, most like this " I'll take your brains to another dimension I'll take your brains to another dimension I'll take your brains to another dimension Pay close attention" ) Out of Space by The Prodigy
@@Bimbotronic ill always check a new burial tune. This is a good tune, I'm a massive oldskool hardcore fan. XL have always released this sound, the prodigy albums were on XL. Casisdead new album was on XL Aswell, wasn't great must admit. But burial and cas are my 2 fav artists.
Love this but wtf is there an advert halfway through this track. 2 ads on the front end, fine, i know you gotta pay your artists but an ad breaking this track up is criminal
This is pretty fucking incredible and exactly what I've been looking to dive into in terms of sound. Any recommendations for something that sounds the same to this or artists to start with, albums?
