I cant tell if that rant is a mod or vanilla. On one hand, it partially sounds like Burke. On the other hand, there are pieces of dialogue that sound AI generated.
@@SHADOWMARE174 I believe this is actually cut content which TTW restores. So you could also get it in just regular Fallout 3 by installing a cut content restoration mod.
It was cut content you could get from the "content revival" mods that were eventually integrated into "A tale of two wastelands" as one big lump download.
@@SHADOWMARE174 I would like to remind you that in Fallout 3/New Vegas, you are in fact GOD, and he is a drug addict in a Vault Suit. No one smack talks GOD without receiving divine retribution.
Fun Fact: In order for the rage to sound genuine, they actually blew up the VA's house and just recorded his reaction. Such dedication to art is to be respected.
I love how, regardless of your choices, nothing happens between you and Burke after you make your decision. They did nothing with this questline besides giving you a house.
That’s just a side effect of having good karma. Burke himself actually doesn’t do anything except probably seethe in Tenpenny Tower for the rest of the game.
When I first started Playing Fallout 3 and ran into the whole thing with Burke, my first thought was “this guy is working with the Enclave”. And then I realized that he was just trying to improve the view of some rich snob and all I could say was “seriously?”.
When he ran up to me for the first time, I literally got scared. he was moving that fast, I reacted with my sidearm. lol That event was a few years ago FYI.
@@kingofthegrill nah, I thought it was a comical side story but at the same time, I gotta agree, Fallout 3’s story could be a bit lackluster. I’m still enjoying my playthrough but I don’t think I will return for a second time.
@@hazmat_ducky3136 I'm just talking a little shit tbh but yeah, Fallout 3 is just a less fun New Vegas. I load it up when I'm in the mood for a change of aesthetic and it's 5 minutes before the holes in the plot hit me in the face. It's a shame, it's not a bad game, NV just does everything it does so much better.
I always thought it would have been interesting if they had made Burke more evil than he even already is through your actions. Like yeah he sends hitmen and talon company hit squads at you. But I always thought for player actions having consequences like you did a great deed for the people of megaton but imagine it did come back to bite you. Imagine like an NPC you could romance and depending on choices you leave and return to them to find their houses covered in blood and a holo tape of them being tortured and killed screaming for you and at the end you hear Burke's voice saying I told you would regret going against me and tenpenny sort of thing. But at the same time depending on your actions and decisions you could potentially still save them. Idk I just like the idea of multiple choices and outcomes even for side quests. But I still love fallout 3 that's not me saying it sucks just ideas I had in the past and thought about because I've never actually seen him do this and threaten you like that in my playthroughs.
I have gave it quite a bit of thought. When i first played it a few years ago, I thought it was a amazing game considering its age. When Burke said to sleep with one eye open, I was concerned. its a shame they didn't add all that because that would have made the game 100 times better then what it already is.
@@Xiomara_Lanier Hahaha yeah it is basically the same minus the you being the one to end them before they become slaves I realize now you mention it. And yeah because if the game has the karma system it doesn't always go good for you even for being good. Sometimes bad people get away with doing evil too sort of thing.
All this time i realised Mr Burke is voiced by the same dude who did Lucien Lachance from Oblivion lmao, not sure how i didn't piece it together they sound identical and are very similar types of sinister characters
The weird part about this rant is that it's bethesda trying to genuinely write a pissed off thwarted villain, but they suck so bad at it that it comes off as a pissed off child that is overreacting that you smashed one of their lego creations, which somehow makes it wrap back around into a perfect representation of an entitled rich prick.
0:24 When Wes Johnson gets mad, he gets _really_ mad. Not even breaking the law in front of an Oblivion guard is enough to trigger that level of vitriol.
@TheGamerNerd025 indeed. I highly recommend downloading a mod that restores cut content if possible. I am running Tale Of Two Wastelands so I don't need to.
This would have been a perfect outcome seeing Burke super pissed off about disarming the bomb. This was definitely a cut content but it was changed to being hunted down by a talon company merc hit squad instead of that.
I remember this guy killed the sherrif and i disarmed the bomb in his honor. I find out later that he had a son and the son gave me the keys. After that the kid mentions a dialogue like "my dad would've wanted you to have this" and he went to go sit alone in his diner table. I felt sad, sat down and had some bramin steak with him. I cant belive i felt for a fallout 3 npc 😕
It's a prick to get the game to work. It's why I own Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and their DLC. Therefore I can use TTW which is basically running both games and their DLC on New Vegas's game engine.
Never seen this piece of cut content before, even in Triangle City vids. Then again, like any good Fallout 3 player, I just immediately start blasting because Fallout 3 is about shooting everything in sight.
