Beware the Ruby Market : Untreated Rubies especially from Burma are very valuable and very Rare more than diamonds ct to ct, reality is the Gem is only worth what a buyer is willing pay for it. GIA report only show the Gem's grade and origin of the stone , the price is determined by the seller normally a Jeweler and if the seller is a GIA Graduate and a Jeweler then he/she will make up their own "lab report" stating that the Gem's treatment is "undetected" and highlighting on their own report that they're a GIA Graduate so the Jeweler will put some outrageous high price on the Gem. Most all Rubies on the market are treated or heated n glass filled or synthetic, real untreated Ruby are so rare they find themselves in collections not in the Jeweler's showcase. don't be fooled by the expert Jeweler man selling Gems.
