One of the most honest thing anyone can say: "I don't know". Neil gets it.

I love the amount of times he says “I don’t know.” Too many people are too certain about their beliefs and personal truths and can’t fathom those 3 words. A first step to understanding science is saying “I don’t know”.

Neil, like Carl Sagan before him, is an inspiration to listen to. Not only can he explain complex ideas in simple terms, he leaves you wanting to know more.

He doesn't want us to think "about" anything, he just wants people to THINK.

It was my 7th year of grade school where I had a science teacher who tested us (his students) on the scientific method after lengthy lessons on the subject. It has stuck with me my entire life. This subject was revisited again in our ninth grade science class, just to be sure we got it the first time. That lesson is lost I think in public schools these days.

Being able to explain astrophysics to non-physicists was one of the things that made Carl Sagan such a great physicist -- not just how much he knew. Niel is one of the few who has topped even Carl Sagan with both his knowledge and his neighborly screen presence.

I love listening to Professor DeGrasse Tyson. What a gift to us. Women's section in the newspaper...perfect example of ethical and moral constructs that evolve in our world.

Thank you so much for this interview. Recent popular messages about "science" have been so incredibly off that badly conceived policies get a free pass. Dr. DeGrasse Tyson is one of the most entertaining intellectuals around. We took his Masterclass, my teen and I, so she would not be so easily fooled.

I'll never forget the first time I heard the term "Objective Truth". My new favorite term.
