A video about 2 bros (they are not brothers). Also, Adult Swim has published my animation, "Wally Winter", voiced by Nick Flanagan from Famicon. • WALLY WINTER “Firewood... / pilotredsun
Put in an effort and make it look like a genuine release. Devise a DVD cover. Print a DVD, there are printable ones, so that it looks legit. Burn the DVD with a menu and all that jazz, go the extra mile and gaslight some poor sod into thinking it's there real deal
0:55 this type of motion is called an "ease". It is a type of movement where a stationary object starts out moving slow, but gradually accelerates. Animators use eases to give a more natural, real-world feel compared to that of linear motion.
I feel like this is some sort of beavis and butthead skits but it's two friends stuck in purgatory to relive their deaths that are always altered every time
I like that description. It's kinda like South Park's Kenny or Happy Tree Friends, where we see the two men basically die twice, but yet we see them again engaging in another activity with no mentions of the previous events.
Once my roommate was eating weet bix and he said it tasted funny so I looked in the box and it was full of cockroaches, I simply took the box outside and lit it with my lighter. I can confirm fire is the best way to kill a spydeer.
This feels like an obscure TV show from the late 90's that you'd wake up to after staying up all night, watching television, and eventually letting your eyes get the better of you, at 4 in the morning.
This feels like one of those dreams that makes perfect sense when you're still in it, even feeling real and having memories in the dream, then you wake up and sit there thinking about it for a good 20 minutes
I was an industrial painter for 6 years and what OSHA says is law. They will get on you over the smallest things. I think that guy is so paranoid over OSHA inspections at work that he thinks they're going to show up and inspect his basement for some reason..
@@makinbacongreasyagain968 yeah, i know, thats the joke.. when youre in charge of a department in industrial work environments and you go through OSHA inspections you become so paranoid that you go home and think they will show up and judge your home. i use to have nightmares that involved OSHA inspections lol.. now ive explained the joke its kinda ruined it. thanks.
I love that in the heating ducts scene, the obvious way the dust would ignite would be the cigarette, but the football knocks open(?) a box of pre-lit candles instead
@@PilotRedSun Wait, that seriously wasn't intentional? Accidental genius, the cigarette he was holding was a great misdirect that made the prelit candles less expected and therefore funnier.
1959 2011 Yes but also it’s just unsettling, not overall fucked up, like cyber 8. His stuff was about rape and incest and cannibalism. Redpilotsun makes things that could be weird but it’s not really edgy.
A few weeks ago I was up at 5:00am with little sleep and suffering from the flu. Even though I watched something mundane it still felt like a total fever dream. I should have went on a PilotRedSun marathon to get the full effect.
I come back to this video every once in a while, and every single time it feels just as strange and alien as the first time I watched it. I think it's one of, if not my all time favorite video you've put out.
whenever I see these surreal animations I always think about how hellish it would be to exist in a world like that with the knowledge of what reality is actually like.
legit. its the same feeling I got when I used to play old school fps games. It just looks so blocky and unnatural, but makes sense at the same time. Theres nothing more terrifying than something unnatural you cannot rationalise.
Why is there Powder? ???: It's a chronic buildup of my favorite iron dust. Pretty sure that's an OSHA violation This is my house dude, Don't jostle the heating ducts! I'm checking for pestilence. Found one! Here is the Bbest way to kill a spider
2:29 The fact that last scene of this video is the least watched/rewatched is a testament to how well done it is. Not so fond memories were evoked in a sizeable part of the audience, that's for sure.
Lyrics: Green: "If the popcorn catches on fire just let me know" Red: "Looks fine from here" Red: "Why is there powder" Green: "It's a chronic build-up of my favorite iron dust" Red: "Pretty sure that's an OSHA violation" Green: "This is my house dude" Green: "Don't jostle the heating ducts" Green: "I'm checking for pestilence" Green: "Found one!" This is like being 8 years old fighting back sleep watching TV at 3:30 in the morning and the rerun of some old sit com starts to distort into something like this
this is the only video of yours that consistently causes me to have nightmares in it’s style within a week of every rewatch I give it. which is why it’s easily one of your top five
This is my favorite PRS video. The music is amazing, and I find myself humming it every once in a while. I miss these videos man, they remind of a simpler, more innocent time of the internet. Hope you come back soon Pilot.
This is the dream you have before you die. As slip deeper into oblivion everything begins to make less sense and only a small part of unconscious brain knows what's going on but that isn't enough to stop the inevitable.
He legitimately seems like a talented musician to me. He uses unconventional sounds and instruments but clearly understands composition and chord progression, and isn't trying to make anything extremely avant garde just for the sake of it.
I find your work incredibly interesting and its ability to entertain me every single time I rewatch your animations which makes me want to ask you about if there is any artists that inspire you with their sound design/visual design? What made you want to develope or experiment with art and "errors" for 9 years? 9 years is a long time so I find it interesting that you stuck with your unconventional style over conforming to what society wants for so long, I can't imagine there was a template that was already discovered to allow this oddity. With all that said the answers maybe as simple as a high effort shitpost.
Eastern European animators like to use synthesizers for sounds and Mickey Mousing. Check out Bulgarian "Treasure Planet". Check out Priit Pärn my fav animator of all time. My biggest contemporary influences are CBoyardee and Chris Cunningham. Cunningham's not an animator but his morbid music videos still inspire me.
@@PilotRedSunThis comment is from a while back, but yeah I totally see the CBoyardee influences in particular! That same style of animation with the absurdist humor to add to the charm. Speaking of absurdist humor, the videos I’ve seen of yours are quite possibly my favourite that truly capture the definition of it, at least to me. Do you have any influences on your style of comedic approach other than the ones you’ve stated? Also love your music by the way, Along with Brew is so good… reminds me of listening to Aphex Twin years back. Real nostalgic feeling.
it's impossible to overstate just how beautiful the bumper at 1:52 is. something about the music's texture and the pattern behind them. i could rewatch this forever
it's drenched in reverb, which also gives the music this really nice stereo width, as if it's being played within an actual physical space and you're hearing all of the reflections off the room along with the actual music
That's actually how it happened. It was 100% arson and about 23% government bullshit. They made it so land owners can't burn their own brush to prevent massive wild fires then dumb kids start them and everything burns. That's about 123% bad, give or take.

It's like an alternate reality sitcom. It even has the distorted bass beat like Seinfeld after they die like it's emphasizing that's the punchline. I wonder if it's analogous to how sitcoms showcase painful but funny social situations, or how slapstick has a lot of physical violence for humor. So why not just re-structure the joke so that it's making fun of something more serious, like burning alive. This man is genius.
That’s what I’m getting out of it too. It has the transitions and stuff like a TV show would, even. Brown hair guy is clearly the straight man while black hair guy is the wise cracking jokester who’s always messing with him. The situations are so surreal that it’s kinda hard to suss out the thought process behind it but “Pretty sure that’s an OSHA violation” sounds like it could be a wisecrack from your Chandler from Friends-type character. Or how black haired guy is specifically told to watch the popcorn but he lets it burn and even uses it to light his cigarette. It’s like component parts of a sitcom slapped into a completely batshit premise.
Hey this comment is great but u know that u don't have to frame art analysis like an objective truth. Alot of times the artist has a different intention than the audience thinks, and that's ok because it's up to an audience to find meaning in art. Still very cool take, appreciate it!
Nicholas Mitchell dude, shut up. Nobody is doing that. Do you really need to see “in my opinion” before every sentence to grasp that it’s obviously a subjective interpretation?
@@bruhvenant "this man is genius" lol. Learn how to read before you offer your irrelevant opinion. I wasn't even talking to you so why are you so rude?? And do you not see the danger in the mindset of "correct interpretations"? Or do you need a trip to North Korea to clarify? You do seem to love bandwagoning so I'm sure it would suit you.
Nicholas Mitchell Nicholas Mitchell dude why are you acting like a psycho over this? He called PilotRedSun genius because he was impressed by his work, not as a definitive statement. The fact that you interpreted it as such speaks to your own issues more than anything. Bringing up North Korea and shit over something so minor, that’s delusional.
everyone is always going on about how scary the fire music is in the sims 1 but like can you imagine if it played the theme at the beginning instead? now *that'd* be nightmare fuel
I love FM and happy to hear you use it in this animation, I always come back to this one in particularly quite frequently. Something about it and the accompanying animation makes it hypnotizing.
"oh shit, this results in disaster. i guess we're dead" **proceeds to play dead and get burned alive instead of escaping the situation** they're like ants with the death pheromone or whatever
