@@molly19601 Hi Jan, The best advice I was given about exercise was when I was 32 and started swimming! I swam 4 laps in a pool and this OLD GUY ( I'm 62 ) swam 38 ! I talked to him and was impressed he did so much! He said knowing that I could do 4 laps the next day do 4 and do at least one stroke more! He said no matter every day go at least one stroke more that the day before. In two months I went from 4 to 120 with out stopping! I've been swimming for 30 years and feel great! I've 31 pounds and am still swimming / running /biking ! My wife loves the fact that I'm healthy! FYI, get off the sugar!!!! Good luck with the running! You can do it!!!!
That’s amazing!! I have similar goals but I’m struggling to just start. I understand the veggies, but what do you pair them with? What about snacks, please?
@@andreaclark1100 You just triggering insulin every time you eat. But you can eat fat. So Heavy cream in coffee is ok. But must be near zero carb or sugar.
finally a real licenced doctor that actually explains how to burn fat in simple words and without adds and product placment we all apreciate your work bro
you would think someone would come out with keto restaurants as there are so many good keto recipes for stuff to eat and this eating style is very popular.
That's not true, I eat Mediterranean diet and they don't put sugar in their food, even the sauces come without sugar.I am talking about when you eat it in the restaurant and not buy from super market
My son lost 80-100# a couple years ago eating this way and watching these videos. I started one month ago and just weighed in a 22# loss. I'm off my insulin now. Was on Humulin U-500 and taking lots of it. Since getting on this diet I only feel the need to eat 2 meals a day! I feel so much better. I've substituted a few nuts for what was a PB&Honey sandwich w/ 3 cups of milk at night. I was soOOoo carb addicted. I'm amazed at how my relationship to food has changed. I NEVER ate veggies. Well, almost never. I am so looking forward to losing 250# more. Yes, 250 is not a typo. Thanks for getting me started!
I have been trying the intermittent fasting eating 2 meals a day skipping breakfast and I lost 10 pounds in 1 month. I still have a lot to loose in the middle section but I will get there with some sit ups. Thank you so much Dr. Berg,
Dr. Berg I started the intermittent fasting and Keto life style this week, and I am already down to 2 meals a day comfortably. Thank you for all you do!
Dr Berg I never tire of this video. I watch it over & over again because getting back to basics somehow always motivates me & keeps me focussed. I shared this video with Oprah Winfrey & Dr. Berg my wish is for everyone to hear this truth because falsehood has really been hurting us including our precious children for far too long, thank you so much for helping me & the world💝
I was exercising at home when I realized: why I'm not losing weight after two weeks of intensive work out? This was the first video that I watched that introduced me into the Ketogenic diet. Since then, I started to watch more educational videos from Dr. Berg. I'm in love of technology. RU-vid just literally saved my body and health. Dr. Eric Berg has my support and confidence.
Unless you have some sort of thyroid issue, then you should have lost weight, assuming you reduced your calories below your maintenance level. This is true, regardless of the type of diet you're on. Obviously, you consumed more than you burned (or the same), otherwise you would have lost weight. It's that simple, folks.
this paired with his intertmittent fasting video is GOAT! I'm about a month in and I can tell im getting slimmer in all the right areas but bigger where i want to be, because I'm losing fat and gaining muscle!
Lord Firstosoul i break my fast around 7pm and keep my eating windows till 11 pm sometimes midnight. I do work out 5 time a week but trust me fasting will burn you fat for once in my life my belly is getting flat witch I never tought would actually work out . I went from 20% fat to 14.7 within 5 week
I'm a long distance cyclist and I also hit the weights...Dr Berg has changed my eating and weight loss mentality for the better...2 meals a day..and cut the carbs unless I do a big ride...feeling better than i ever have in my life🖒
Every gram of carbohidrate holds 2 other grams of water. When you cut the carbs, you lose the water too, but that doesn't mean you have necessary lost more fat
I started a "Keto-like" diet last March, 2015. I was 323. I wasn't very strict, and I didn't increase my usual exercises. However, I am now 270. I eat meat, veggies, cream and cheeses, and occasional fish. Oh yeah, I still drink my craft beers, just not as many, and I have a cheat day every Saturday, pizza, cake, ice cream, etc. Still losing weight. Slowly, but it seems to be working.
THat's like someone who is $100k in debt reducing their debt down to $75k and bragging about it. They are still in a horrible place and so are you at your body weight,
He's doing good but it would speed up alot by not doing the cheat day because then your only in ketosis 2-3 days a week if your lucky. Also Intermitting fasting would help as well.
i eat whatever i want and i am losing weight. exercise early around 5am. mostly cardio with pushups and squats. eat breaksfast and go to work. eat agin at lunch and then natural juice for dinner. dont eat past 3pm. thats how i finally found a way to lose fat and not have to think about my diet. my body is transforming and is amazing how i look now.
that's basically intermittent fasting , that is why. That does work , the every other day diet is like that, somewhat, one day you eat normal and the next day you pull back, so it gives you the mini fasting effect.
@@angelgirldebbiejo I never liked this approach to fitness, because it devalues exercise. Despite being on a clean diet, exercise is just as important as one's nutrition. Losing weight is one thing, overall health is another
Everyone at my work place is on a new years diet. But they keep grumbling how hungry they are. They keep eating oats, sweetened yoghurt, bananas for breakfast and tuna sandwiches (or on noodles) for lunch, lol... Me, I'm eating bacon and eggs for breakfast and a can of sardines for lunch. no grumbles at all,
Yep. If the food industry wants you to eat foods that are based on grain and carb....pretty good indication that you should do the opposite. Carbage foods are cheap to mass produce.
I am so happy to see a dr talking about this. Ketosis does work (i've lost 30kg) & still most countries insist that we consume 60% or so from carbs. Crazy.
I have been on a high fat diet for 8 months have lost 45lbs and feel great. Trying to get everybody on board is really hard. People look at me like I am crazy when I tell them I am Grain free and eat more fat. When I went into Ketosis I was losing a pound a day. Thanks for the info.
Thank you for making sense of it all. I have been doing Paleo for 6 weeks and have lost 10kg but have plateaud . What you have explained about ketosis is helping me to understand better how to work that in with my life. (Fasting, having acv, no sugar ). I appreciate that you have taken the time to share this with the world.
I can confirm from my recent experience that even a single tea made with sugar will stop ketosis cold and my body was storing everything I ate as fat for the next few days. I was shocked at how significant ketosis vs carb dependence is.
I agree with you. I had a plateau...after losing weight, I had fat burning pills but palpitation attacked me...I know the key is no cheating on starchy food n sugar plus oils... No cheatin even 1 day does make a different😍😍
This guy is incredible. I followed his advice (all of it), and my body feels better than I can remember it feeling. I am almost 50 years old, so I am guessing I forgot how I felt in my youth. At any rate, I always used to prefer to delay eating until at least about 2 PM. I was always skinny (with or without working out). I started making myself eat in the morning because I heard it was good for me. I got fatter! Also, my thyroid went crazy about a year ago (runs in the family). Now I do not worry about food all day. It is such a liberation. I only realized how much of my attention was given to planning meals. Now I eat once a day. I did not experience hunger even on the first day. What the doctor is suggesting feels so natural to my body. My sleep was off for the first four days but eventually corrected. I was not getting deep non-REM at first (my best guess). Now all is good. What he (and many others) says about getting enough electrolits is absolutely key. I live in Cambodia where it is always hot. Even if all you can add is salt, you are better off. Taking in electrolits has been really important to me. I have lost about a pound a day, and.I eat as much as my body can take. My face looks younger already. I have been on Atkins for years. The keto diet he suggests is not new. It is the fasting.
So clear and concise. Ive been on intermittent fasting and this low carbs high fat and protien. Im loosing loads of fat on my face and gut. All my muscles are coming through.
This gentleman has been excellent from the videos I’ve viewed; the video lengths are not too long; and he delivers the messages quite simply to foster understanding among the audience. Very much appreciated sir!
I'm 64 years old, and though I've been very healthy and fit for most of my life, I kinda fell apart when I turned 60. I started transitioning to Keto in early March this year, with the goal of losing 25 lbs and reducing the chronic inflammation from from Psoriatic Arthritis. As Dr. Berg noted, it took me a solid month or more to finally achieve a state of ketosis, and I was wondering why, during that time, I couldn't seem to shed a single ounce. But then it kicked in, and practically without effort, I went from 185 lbs to 170 in about a month. This morning, I weighed in at 162. I do not crave carbs or sugar anymore, my appetite is trimmed from three meals a day plus a few snacks to 1 1/2- 2 meals a day, with no hunger pangs. I typically have my first meal in late afternoon, followed by a very light dinner a few hours later. EVERYTHING is better! I am not suffering at all from hunger or cravings. I feel like I got twenty years younger. My doctor was very skeptical, especially about the high-fat diet, but now he's trying Keto himself, and re-exvaluating quite a few of the nutritional dogmas he was trained to believe.
"And you know it's true, because it is the exact opposite of what the main stream is telling you." EXACTLY epic quote "Don't just believe what they say" has been sound advice for ages, but now as everyone is evidently ballooning into whale-shaped objects it is almost proven that you better "believe the exact opposite of what they say".
@adiamondsmile so why did god create the Eskimos and have them subsist on nothing but meat and fat? Could it be that god created us to be able to survive on anything? However, science (also a product of god) has also told us we are better at running without too many carbs. The keto diet is also not a century old, it has existed since long before there was a name for it. The first time man got hungry and had to hunt for days, eating near nothing, to fix that, ketogenesis was there.
If you look at the life of the Israelites in the Bible during the wilderness, you find out that God fed them in the morning with mana and then in the evening with quail. He also fed Elijah bread in the morning and fish in the evening.
@@kwabenaboat2326 to be fair, many isrealites were skinny, and they worked a lot more than we do, carbs aren't evil, they're a great extra source of energy, if you need it, but the problem is we don't need it these days, many of us have excess fat that we can use for energy already, and those of us who are fit usually aren't active all day anyway, so carbs still aren't needed in any capacity, we'll they're never needed as long as you use fat as a source, the only reason carbs are a problem these days is cause of excess carbs, refined carbs, carbs and fats in everything, carbs and sugar in everything, our laziness, etc.. It was a very different time back then.
I just want to thank you for helping to inform me on my ketosis journey. I'm three weeks in and feeling better, clearer and more focused. I am also losing an unprecedented amount of weight considering I've been mostly sedentary through this.
Thank u Dr Berg wow ! i have a triple whammy my whole life , multiple losses !stress constant ! being the 11th of 13 siblings having constant sugar for years and now at 53 menopause yeah! Yet only after 30 days i feel so much better and know that getting healthy first is my goal then the weight will follow. I am worth the effort and thank u for going against the grain lol your story is encouraging and your education so helpful to me you make it sound so clear and easy to understand....
I am in South Africa and I have been watching Dr Berg's videos for weeks now. On Sunday I started IF and Keto. I was shocked that I started with 123.1kg on Sunday and when I weighed myself with the same scale this morning, it read 120.1 kg with No exercise since I have flu. I'm pleasantly shocked and will continue and see how far I can get.
FINALLY, here's a video that is SPOT ON regarding understanding the process of controlling body weight. Once these principles are clearly understood, weight control becomes much easier. Also, some of the comments here prove that people still don't understand the physical process. There's one comment below that says you can burn fat without being in ketosis. That's like saying you can cook food without heating it when the actual process of heating food is called cooking. If you're burning body fat you are in ketosis because the actual process of fat burning is called ketosis. You don't even need a medical book to understand that simple principle. Just look up the defintion of the word ketosis.
In the video he said "it can take up to 6 weeks to get into ketosis". If i can only lose fat when i am in ketosis, but i never eat less than 30% of my whole intake a day in carbs why am i not getting fatter and fatter? Is it maybe still calories in and calories out? :D This video is still bro science, because it doesn't cover everything up that is going on in our bodies!
He is saying go at 5-10%. There is hidden sugar everywhere in processed food. Also potatoes, carrots, etc are all packed with starches and thus become sugar once our saliva and digestion breaks them down. You are still eating too much sugar at 30%.
If you want to reduce fat in the body, it still comes down to calories in, and calories out. You can be more efficient at it with varying diets, but at the end of the day, you can't stay above your caloric maintenance, and lose fat. I've yet to see anything to the contrary. Unfortunately, stating the obvious doesn't garner you millions of subscribers. Most people don't want to take accountability for their situation. By providing a convoluted formula to why someone is not losing weight creates an excuse for the lazy and uneducated. This is why this Dr. is so appealing to the masses.
During my university years i gained 7kg without even noticing and the day non of my pants fit i turned 180 with my diet. I've been eating LCHF for 10 years now and started getting into this Ketosis-thing only this year to try, and it has made my body even better! I think i watched a 1000 videos, read articles and book about the topics you are showing on your channel, and this is the first time I'm learning even more new things! You are supergood at explaining and sound sincere (not overly markety) I sometimes try to explain keto to my coworkers but you do it better, so i just share these videos :) Thank you for all the awesome learnings.
You have the most informative and direct information on RU-vid !! I watched so many videos on keto and yours are right to the point and in GREAT!!! I love the dry erase boards.... really great!. I have been on this diet for 3 weeks and was very discouraged ...now I know what I was doing wrong and because of your videos I know what to do correctly!!!!! Thank YOU 💟💟💟💟😎😎😎😎
Ive done really well following his advice. I lost 50 lbs in a four month period by low carbs NO sugar and HIIT exercise. I found the apple cider vinegar works wonders and though after a year im still insulin resistant. I think that is our biggest problem with diet as even when you lose the weight, with insulin resistance it's hard to keep it off. Unfortunately it can take a couple years to get the liver back to normal to help with maintaining our proper weight. I've been doing fasting now for a while and am down to one meal a day. Two if I'm working very hard but I like the 18-24 cycle. It really can be done and gets easier with time.
You are the first person to state that Ketones can appear within days, but full conversion may take 4-6 weeks. THIS HELPS. I was in "heavy" ketosis within four days and lost four pounds in two weeks, then stopped loosing. It is disheartening to say the least given the number of testimonials about massive weight lose in opening weeks.
My mother has Alzheimer’s D .. I started her on a keto a diet with her Dr approval . She has not loss weight and it’s been almost 3 weeks but She’s like a sugar addict . Thank you for this info I have cut down her sugar drastically. I hope this diet helps her with her brain cells and inflammation .

There are several components to dieting methods at home. One place I discovered that successfully combines these is the Slim Tactic Formula (google it if you're interested) it's the best blueprint that I have ever heard of. look at all the incredible info .
This is glorious, been searching for "how to treat a fatty liver" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Jeyebastian Venlena Blaster - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.
I agree with your points but why make it sound as if the only way to burn fat is through a keto diet in a lot of your videos. Plenty of people burn fat focusing on a calories in/out diet. Eating complex carbs is fine, your body will use the energy (glucose) from the carbs for your work outs and daily activities. As long as you use more energy in that day than you have consumed your body will tap into its fat reserves. Keto diets do work but require a fairly drastic change in diet. Big up the keto diet but at least let people know there is another viable option so they can make an informed decision. The reason a lot of diets fail is because people make a drastic change too quickly and can't stick to it.
L0nd0n14 yep...and keto isn't the go to for athletic performance, and if you tried it takes many months until your body adapts. That doesn't mean it will perform better or even as well. Dr Rhonda Patrick is the Queen of keto science. Worth checking some of her content of you're keto bound.
Yea, and I would love to see a video made by a real medical doctor, OBGYM, endocrinologist or cardiologist about all of these diets and IF, and I say OBGYM because women's hormones reactions are much different than men, do you know of any?
I just was up all day have chronic ex maistion.. Did this for two weeks so far with full body workout every 3 to 4 days... I felt so good yesterday... I want to make it more plant based over time and I did get keto flu be fore it kicked in. I am so glad u are on here. We don't have a doctor like u here.
I went to your link, it had me give name and email and then takes me to your general site. It did not take me to a list of foods. It just took me to links to videos. It would be nice to take me to that. I spent a bit of time looking. Please share exactly where the list is. Thanks
2020 time and I just discovered Dr Berg ! Makes me So Happy that he Shares & Cares And that So many people want to be empowered to take charge of their Wellness!! 🇺🇸❤️🕊💪🇺🇸
Dr. Berg you are the man! Whenever I have a health question I go on your channel. I don’t do Keto but I do a pretty low carb diet about 50 a day. I don’t like being in Keto I personally feel like I lose too much weight and it’s hard to maintain my muscle, strength and my performance is slightly worse.
I know! And I'm embarrassed to say I still didn't get it, till like the 20th video! 🙈 The other day I was going to have a diet soda in between meals cuz it's calorie free. But then I remembered something I read about caffeine raising insulin levels (or maybe the aspartame). So I didn't have it, in order to keep my insulin stable. And THAT was the moment it clicked for me. So I'm glad he has so many videos on insulin!
That’s because people are either ignorant, negative or just don’t listen to simple information. He could say this till he’s blue in the face but most people won’t listen and wonder why they’re still fatty boom booms.
Helen Eriksson there’s no sugar in our vegetables or meat. The food is the same in the USA as in other countries in that aspect. She referring to there’s sugar in all processed foods.
He says that all the mainstream recommendations for burning fat are completely outdated... But Dr. Robert Atkins told us about this many, many years ago.
The Atkins diet is similar in methodology to keto but seems to have focused a bit too much on protein instead of fat. Protein is great but too much can push you out of ketosis.
How do I know if doctor Berg is right or Doctor John is right or Doctor White is right of doctor Black is right? Shouldn't every doctor learn the same knowledge. I am an engineer and laws of thermodynamics are same if you ask me or someone 60000 miles away. But why is it that 2 doctors who even study together have drastically differing opinions about the most basic of things? Can someone please answer this if the doctor himself doesn't? thanks
Well, I know I'm a little late but here's my stab at it, in case you were still wondering. It's a complex question. I think there are a few reasons why medicine is so all over the place while something like physics seems more reliable. 1) Our relationship with food as a civilization has changed drastically over just the past few decades, let alone centuries. Our relationship with physics has not. Our understanding of nutrition is so ridiculously all over the place because the data we're working with is changing faster than many people are capable of keeping up. The science of keto has been around for several decades, but it's really only taking hold right now, probably because our data for people on low Fat diets is showing worse and worse results. Our observations of physics, however, haven't really changed. They've just added on each other. One science grows to show more of the truth. The other (nutrition) zig zags around the truth. 2) Politics. Food is not just a science. It's an industry. Unfortunately, people have many reasons beyond communal health to care about what food everyone is eating. If you run an extreme fitness group and someone says you can technically loose weight without too much exercise (which keto can potentially do) you might be biased against keto. If you are a cardiologist who learned that red meat is a heart attack waiting to happen in med school and your education has helped you build a good life for yourself, you're not going to like keto (which contradicts that theory). If you work for any company or are somehow funded by any company that produces food with sugar or carbs (soda, chips, pasta, bread, fries, dessert, etc) keto is a direct threat to you. And it's not too difficult to get a medical 'personality' or even an actual medical professional on your payroll. It's not always evil but it is scary. 3) Fear. Physics can be scary but its dangers aren't usually in front of us every single day. Food absolutely is and so, when people start to have such strange and serious health problems, even the idea that it could be caused by something we use multiple times a day is scary as hell. Which will motivate scientists, journalists, and politicians to find an answer. Which will encourage people to search quickly for that answer. Which will inevitably lead to some scientific mistakes or even lies to take place. Our fear of meat and fat around the world, for example, can be traced back to when President Eisenhower had a heart attack while in office. It freaked everybody out. That's my take...
ALSO, and this is a big lesson we really need to learn as a species, physics is more or less universal, like math. Nutrition, as much as we want it to be, is not. What works well for you nutritionally may not be the same that works for me. It's based on your lifetime of eating habits, what your parents ate, and even what your ethnic nutritional profile is. Doctors solved external diseases and viruses with one-solution drugs and vaccines. When nutritional (internal) diseases started to come about they naturally thought the same one-size-fits-all solution would work, too. It, unfortunately, doesn't. Keto means different things to different people but what Dr Berg is going over here are the basics. It also seems to be the closest thing we have to a universal therapy diet for people who have been slowly decaying from a lifetime of eating too many carbs. The actual specifics of what keto becomes after this, however, vary per individual. Some can do lots of dairy, others can't. Some can have lots of protein, others can't. Any then, from there, it even evolves over time for the same individual.
One reason may be that doctors are given very little training in nutrition in medical school. The orientation in medical school is on pathology. For that reason doctors who have lots of knowledge about nutrition have likely studied it on their own in order to understand the workings of nutrition and how it can heal and help people. This probably accounts for the varied range of understanding of nutrition and physiology.
This is so right on... i’ve eliminated most sugar from my diet except tiny amounts and things like a splash in organic ketchup I might put on a burger patty...I don’t miss it one bit and feel so much better.
The only problem I have with keto is that it seems that only the really far people lose tons of fat and weight. I’m on 28% body fat and it is so hard to loose 5 kilos of fat. But when I look at the people who loose a lot, they already had a lot to start with. Sometimes I am really sad about it because I’m on my limit 😞
Beautiful Dr Berg, the amount of work that you and other keto experts put into helping to spread the word is amazing. It’s disheartening that the fitness industry is so shady that people in general are not aware that the problem is the insulin trigger, not CICO. I truly hope that people struggling with health issues and fat loss can get to know the effectiveness of the keto lifestyle. Thanks doc!

Then why do vegans who eat a whole food plant based diet with 80% carbs have a perfect body weight? Ketosis will make you lose fat, but it will also make you sick and low energy, because of the low carbs. Animal fat is the problem, not carbs. Show me how many fat vegans you know - a rare species. Let alone the long term effects of ketosis - for staying lean, you have to be in this state of anemia for the rest of your (short) life. A healthy diet doesn't need to manipulate the body to achieve balance - it is balanced by itself. Books like the China Study or Starch solution describe that perfectly.
+Alen Mischael Vukelić I've seen numerous overweight and obese vegans. Typically they are younger and less informed, eating french fries and drinking soda to make up their diet.
8 лет назад
Nick Riggin Well, there's your answer right there - french fries and soda. Eating whole foods is the way to go.
+Alen Mischael Vukelić The biggest reason why vegans are, in average, leaner, is that they eat low calorie/high water content food. They feel full without eating nutrition and calorie packed food. I personally know vegans that are skinny fats and cannot stand a full day intense working load (like the waiter job) because nutrients in their diet are too low, I know no vegans with an athletic and performing body (not talking about anything crazy, just able to play football without dying). Overall it is important to eat plenty of vegetables and reasonable amount of fat and carbohydrates. This can be done with almost all diets, vegan diet being the most difficult one. This does not mean it is impossible to keep a vegan diet, it just need more knowledge and control than other diets in order to keep nutrients in check.

Marito alla Parmigiana It's very simple if you eat whole foods - not processed foods. If this were true what you say, then elephants would be weak, oxen would be weak, almost all dinosaurs would have been weak - those are and have been the most powerful land animals on the planet. The horse has been the hardest working animal for humans for thousands of years. Meat eaters have little endurance, and can run only short distances at higher speed - like the big cats (lions ..) for instance. I went to ER for my dad. He needed to gain weight. The hospital nutritionist suggested him to eat six meals a day while his blood glucose level was already insulin resistance. I had to just laugh myself at that suggestion. It made me more so to study nutrition on my own by finding a mentor like Dr. Berg. Thank you Dr Berg.
I tried keto for about four months. I couldn't keep my potassium levels up and started having issues with my heart skipping... scary shit... Of course it turned out that I had somehow developed acid reflux and the acid was upsetting my vagus nerve.
I've been on it that long and my bloods and organs are perfect lost 50 pounds and now I alternate between a meditteranian style /keto diet and just a lifestyle of eating what I want except to much sugar and unhealthy fats of course I guess we have to do what is best for ourselves as an individual. In saying all that I experimented for 8mnths with many types of diets and now I have found what is right for me and it's kinda a mixture of all of them lol one thing I won't change is my hiit, apple cider, lemon, curcumin and raw slim and tone green coffee pea protien powder
Most times High blood pressure on Keto comes from an electrolyte imbalance. Most likely all you needed to do was add magnesium and potassium to your diet.
Very correct and up-to-date info here with Dr Bergg. I stopped eating anything for 72 hours, and my ketone urine test shot up to 80. I have been on zero calorie fast for 5 days now, and my urine test stays high. My body is burning fat for the first time in my life. It feels great just to know that I have the capacity to do this. We are the first generation of human to have the knowledge and the support network to burn fat at will. Very lucky to be living in this era.
Dr berg, why do other ppl eat sugar in moderation and can lose weight? basically they are loosing weight out of ketosis? so how is it that we can only lose weight on ketosis but other ppl can lose 50+ pounds? serious question and I love your informative videos!!!!
Ariposa Makeup dont make it complicated... its calories in vs calories out. If your body needs 2000 cal a day and you eat 2500 you gain 1lb a week.. if you intake 1500 a day you lose 1 lb a week. Its that fuckin simple.. just count your calories and macros.
@@wesfines6556 its all about macros.. doesnt matter if you eat fat carbs or whatever as long as you're not eating sugar you can pretty much eat anything as long as it fits your macros.
