@@Legendary-2024 for one, we have not detected any form of lifeform that resembles them. If they really were real, they would have come out of hibernation to feed on the radiation present during the aftermath of world war two, if we strictly stick to the depictions of Godzilla at the very least. You could argue that the sea is extremely vast and the majority of it is currently unexplored, but there are land kaiju that would have almost certainly be awakened by all the disruptive activity we humans are causing. Either that, or we would have detected them, since as compared to the seas, the lands are significantly more explored.

the rebirth cycle is mysterious because there are rare times where we see mothra with eggs, but after Mothra dies, how 'does' she come back? Rebirth Island basically serves as her 'respawn' point but I kinda doubt the island generates an egg on its own. Although at this point I can believe if Mothra's energy that be scattered from an explosion 'can' come back and form an egg and the larvae.... But still. Mothra 'has' to absolutely leave something behind to be able to reincarnate. But the reincarnation system isn't very clear because as soon as she's born she basically heads into a suicidal mission unless its peacetime, and lays one or two eggs. Mothra is very...mystical. Its consciousness, will, and energy can be dissipated and rejoined to form its next incarnation through an egg. The movie shifts and changes a lot of stuff because I believe the egg was found in Asia (china???) and traditionally the egg and birth of mothra always always always happens on Rebirth Island with exception to the larvae in Tokyo SOS.

I don't know about that, i personally think Godzilla could have managed to release it on his own, probably would massively damage Godzilla or be too much to handle in proper control but Godzilla is capable of releasing energy on it's own like it has done before for example in the comics when it was fighting the MUTO Prime, it performed an atomic pulse. In KOTM Godzilla performed a Thermo nuclear pulse, which was more controlled due to Mothra stabilizing it, but it wouldn't really kill Godzilla i guess.

There isn’t really a Mothra species though. She’s always been shown as essentially being one of a kind, constantly rebirthing herself. I believe this bond is exclusive to this particular Gojira and this Mothra. Also some novelizations suggest that this Gojira is the only one of his kind to have the atomic breath, due to feeding on the energy source from Hallow Earth.

Oh absolutely, we can see the connection between them several times. Especially when Mothra sacrificed herself for Godzilla and the world, Godzilla was devastated by her loss as indicated by his cry of pain. Plus with how he was visibly angry with Rodan at the end. The strongest evidence of this by far is how the director himself, Michael Dougherty, has confirmed Godzilla and Mothra very clearly have a king and queen relationship.

they are smart enough to have emotional relationship and I am pretty sure that they do when godzilla got beaten up by ghidorah, before mothra got blasted with ghidorah beam, she showed mourning and then rage even goes as far as to act impulsively and fly headfirst at ghidorah in rage leading to her death a simple symbiotic pair of animal wouldn’t really do that pretty sure these two have a close bond with eachother kinda make sense when both of these are smart and emotional creatures that has been with eachother for millions of years it would make sense that they care for eachother

Mothra sacrificing herself for Godzilla to have a fighting chance isn't a show of affection. She simply knew that Godzilla in his critically damaged state could not defend himself or the planet any longer so her sacrifice was completely necessary for Godzilla to have the slightest chance of victory. Godzilla could've cared less about Mothra's sacrifice other than he would also know that it was necessary for the survival of all intelligent life on Earth. His cry of pain is self-explanatory, he was in PAIN, he was dropped from thousands of feet above sea level so any attempt to even move would be extremely painful. I'm not sure what Michael Dougherty meant by the two having a king and queen relationship but my assumption is that he is acknowledging their bond, which has developed through evolution to become a perfect unit in combat and the fact that they can tolerate the existence of each other while keeping other species of titan in check (their symbiotic relationship).

Idk, i get the feeling Mothra and Godzilla are still more powerful than Kong and Godzilla, Mothra can do a lot more than Kong can and when it comes to battles that involve aerial battles Mothra can cover that spot while Godzilla supports, Kong can't do anything in a aerial fight. Plus when it comes to power ups and abilities, Godzilla and Mothra synergies a lot easier and are way more powerful when they combo attacks.

@@raionshishi8290 but, Mothra can and will be one shotted by one of the higher level combatants. And Kong has a very throwable axe. As far as combo attacks all Godzilla has to do is charge it and boom. Mothra can't do anything when it comes to close range. Here's how i would rank them 1 Godzilla and Kong 2 Godzilla and Mothra 3 Ghidorah and Rodan 4 Muto's

Way i see it, Kong and Godzilla are who you call when you need something to die IMMEDIATELY, Mothra and Godzilla is more akin to a long drawn out fight, where Godzilla will need support in a way that Kong can't achieve.
