He says "ha. you need a handicap to beat me." Would've been better if the song was similar to the Nightmare songs where the mechanics are forced on anyway.
I think the core part and pretty much everything after that is just amazing, the his theme part was so cool around the halfway mark, man this song is cool.
The fact that there's two different songs if you choose to attack Sans or not in the second is such a great idea. Puts the message of morality from Undertale into the mod pretty nicely.
And not just mortality, but the theme of choice in general was really well translated here. Undertale really shows how much things can change with LV first being introduced as a game mechanic to get stronger, and BF's attacks are said to restore health without ever mentioning that Sans would react
One of the reasons why I LOVE this to death is because at the beginning of the song, it gives an almost peaceful vibe to it. You can hear birds chirping and it feels like your having a nice day outside. It’s a literal callback to what Sans says at the VERY beginning of the fight. “It’s a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming….” That’s is such a incredible reference and I love it so much!!!!🤩
I’d call it more of a reference than an easter egg but holy shit yeah, the attention to detail in this mod is absolutely unreal Definitely one of the best mods so far, if not number 1
yeah thought the same too while playing this song for the first time and i heard the beggining the first thing that came into my mind was “It’s a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming and kids like you SHOULD BE BURNING IN HELL" ngl when thinking about it they could have used his texte box saying that in the beggining of the song but still just a masterpiece
The slight bit reverb and change to bf’s voice was a nice touch and actually makes him sound like he is getting possessed and the song is genually a BANGER, this fits the undertale vibe so much, keep it up innued0 and saster!
1:19 . Now THAT'S what you call a melody so good it gives goosebumps. Absolutely PHENOMENAL work from Innuendo and Saster just as expected. No. This was even better.
@@Plumpus3545 Hi i know I'm late but i think he probably meant near the end of the fight Where he's extremely Worn out and its Pulling all the Stops in a Attempt to make you quit
Not only did the song catch the original's geneocide sans fight's atmosphere, so did the gameplay (Unfortunately, that means that i had to relieve the pain of having an actual bad time after so long), absolutely amazing, you caught the soul of the fight too. Edit: Hello, i think i was misunderstood, when i said "Soul" i wasn't meaning the actual ingame undertale gameplay soul, i was talking about how the song generally FELT like the actual fight, it didn't control the same at all, but it captured the same atmosphere and sensation of loosing and loosing, and the feeling of trying so much you don't even emote and just stare with a blank face at the screen trying to get further into the fight. THAT is what i meant by soul, sorry for the misunderstanding y'all
I actually like that part! Granted I am fortunate enough to not have to deal with Undertale fights, especially San's, mainly cus I don't have a PC and my laptop is Tediore approved. Since this is just giving other potential modders ideas on what to add to their mods!
It wouldnt be so bad time if developers think little more and find out that blue and orange bone notes shouldnt oneshot in fact,it would be more right think to just add KR mechanic, like dusttale mod,i dunno
@@skell6134 No, I disagree. The bone notes only appear for 10 seconds at the start of Whoopee and you only get the bone notes again if you do Burning In Hell, which is the price you pay for trying to kill Sans. They should one-shot because the only appear frequently in BIH which is the ultimate pain attack. Why would Sans not one-shot you if you tried to murder him? They also re-appear in Bad Time but that's because it's a nightmare song and supposed to be hard. They also appear again in Saness but only at the end because memes.
I can definitely hear which parts you and saster did, I’m convinced that after 1:24 saster took over which explains why I felt this song took a second to hit its maximum depth.
@@FFrosteh in case you didn't figure out the joke or just didn't know in general, Saster is the name of one of the composers of this song, alongside TheInnuend0. it wasn't a typo of Gaster.
True. I mean I'm sure it's not an intended thing since the theme is very common in classic indie games, but it still gives a connecting feeling to all the weeks.
@@antagonisticalex401 My guess is that the next few games in Indie Cross might be Celeste, Oneshot and maybe FNAF (That or the ones in the cutscene in the start of the mod)
@@KSKY2012 I guess I'm just old. Cause songs that make me feel nostalgic are the sad songs from the Sonic Adventure and CD games. Probably because I grew up with them. But the song that makes me the most nostalgic is a song called U2-MLK. It's the song my pa sang to me when I was a baby. I saw Undertale grew during middle school, but it wasn't a game me and my brother played together on the gamecube. But maybe for you young'uns, your Undertale was my Sonic Adventure or Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. I must be getting old.
@@SalamiMilk you can also feel the same feelings just like the first time playing Undertale genocide, how sans tries his best to not let you "win" although he knows he will lose no matter what.
Am i the only one who loves the melody as well as the notes bf & sans sing at 2:34? it's so nice to listen to. Honestly the entire songs a bop though, some parts of this song are very creative as well. The cutscene right after this was sad though.
Ok but that “His Theme” leitmotif at 1:29 is easily the best part of the song and now I want a whole song just based off of that part alone it gives me CHILLS how much I love it
I love how it doesn’t have to be just note spam to be hard, it’s interesting bone mechanics allow for a great song without it! Also that part at the end, chilling!
People here hate on the mechanics, but they 1. are so well thought out 2. Fit the theme of opponents actually trying to kill you 3. Do a way better job at providing difficulty for an otherwise easier song than mfm level charting
Saster(composer of the original Confronting Yourself, which kinda sounds like an Undertale track) probably did the instrumental, which is why it sounds so Undertale final battle-like.
@@avidamateur4118 man that's definitely one way to describe confronting yourself lol, i always forget it's become popular in the fnf fanbase somehow but yeah it was for differentopic, definitely reminiscent of like 2018/2019 utsc. instrumental was defo saster since it sounds just like his old undertale style for megalos.
Imo - 1. Despair 2. Devils Gambit. 3. Knockout. 4. Bad time 5. BIH(Burning in hell) I have to many favs though such as last reel, nightmare run, sansational, final stretch, whoope, bonedoggle, ritual, Imminent demise, technicolor, and freaky machine. probably left out a fav as well lol.
1. Devils gambit 2. Burning in hell 3. Knockout 4. Technicolor tussle 5. last reel Seriously why are most, if not ALL of cupheads songs are absolute bangers?
This song is beautiful, nostalgic, P e r f e c t It (as well as Final Stretch and Bonedoggle) reminds me so much of back when I was in the fandom and experiencing the wonder of how much undertale has inspired with all the AUs, animations, remixes, fangames etc. They were good times
1:19 - 1:42 is way beyond fire, it's the whole Sun because my God I've never had my soul struck so hard. Phenomenal work Innuendo and Saster, you two are legendary.
It's crazy how many memories and references are being put into all of the Indie cross songs, but this one by far gave me the most chills. Just by the birds singing, The Core, His Theme, and others are just astonishing. Thank you so much for bringing one of my favorite childhood characters back to the Spotlight (Bendy Reference)
I cannot stress enough how absolutely fantastic this song is. I am so glad that the piece went more for a recomposition of It's Raining Somewhere Else instead of being another megalovania remix. (Don't get me wrong, I love megalovania, but there's only so many times megalovania remixes can be included in fnf before it gets stale). It's Raining Somewhere Else is one of my favorites from the OST and seeing it be Final Boss-ifed is so good. Holy smokes, I am obsessed with this song.
I've gotten to the point where this is my warmup when I want to attempt bad time, and I'll never get over how much I love this song. It sounds incredible. It's a challenge, but not unfair, and just fast enough for me to improve my reaction time with each playthrough. Boyfriend's new animations are incredibly fitting as well
This song is insanely intense it gives off these feelings of going through a bad time yet surviving one of the hardest bosses yet and its calming end really gives off a feeling of relief
Amazing song man! From 1:42 to 2:05 literally made me crap myself at how good that was. Keep up the great work and I hope to see more amazing songs from you
This song has been stuck in my head ever since I tried the amazing mod. Thank you so much for your hard work on it! I love the entire work so much!! I feel I almost can imagine the lyrics they're singing in this song alone and the emotions really cuts deep when I'm listening to it, I love it.
This song is probably my top 3 favorite songs in the mod. ( being, burning in hell, technicolor tussle, and ritual.) I love how bf`s voice is slightly changed to make it feel like he is being possessed by Chara. The song is such a banger man, this feels like a song that would come out of undertale. This song is perfect in every way.
The half a year work creativity you worked on is SPECTACULAR!!! Even if this song took a while to make, your hard work made this one of the best songs in the game! Beautiful work from you and Saster
All letifmoffs in this song that I realised. 0:00 it's raining somewhere else combined with megalovania. 0:10 it's raining somewhere else. 1:23 Undertale 1:29 sans vocals: His theme 1:40 It could be "Core" but it also could be a reference so Sasters work on Call of the void. 1:52 obviously megalovania. 2:14 once again megalovania. 2:25 sans vocals: His theme Bf vocals: Another medium
All the leitmotifs I heard: “It’s raining somewhere else” “CORE” “Megalovania” obviously “Once upon a time” “Hopes and Dreams” “SAVE the world” “His theme” (Rustle Cortez, Shadow, & Alpha Omega8902) “Bonetrousle” (Shadow) Thanks for the help guys Will edit if I hear any other leitmotifs or anyone else hears one and mentions it
this makes a lot of sense, because sans in the genocide route will go full power against you, while in the pacifist route he will not use any of his power against you
Sick, awesome as always. On an unrelated note: how come some of the best fnf creators and music artists become the prime suspects of controversies? Its low-key sad sometimes...
because now that they’re well known, the person in question who’ve been harassed in some sort by them could come out and the creator could actually get consequences for what they did. especially if it happened online. It sucks but who’s fault really is it if the creator in question is just a bad person waiting to be called out on it?
Because people will do anything to bring others down to their level especially if its someone well known. Its twitter mentality to try to hurt big people. Hell even some of the stuff is fake editted false accusations.
@@antagonisticalex401 I meant like Revie for instance, they made an amazing mod but they screwed around and did some stupid shit now they and their work are lost to the seven winds, basically if its not a sex related crime its over all douchebaggry.
@@extremeequalist932 Well the more creators aware of the "controversy bug" as I like to call it the less likely it'll happen going forward, we're losing some good stuff to that stupid bug.
Indie Cross is, without a doubt, the best fnf mod in history, all the songs ended up beating my favorite song, Phantasm. Appreciate the people who came together to give us the best mod. This song definitely gave me chills #indiecrossfnf
A simply great taste into the worlds upon worlds the Undertale fandom has created where the cycle continues of Sans fighting a great evil with no hope or way of winning.... *AND SO THE CYCLE OF DESPAIR BEGINS ONCE MORE IN FNF* It's like an interesting blend of "Tears in the Rain" and Megalos all over the fandom.... It's beautiful. The CORE theme. The pitched-up Megalovania. The rush of emotional weight behind this final battle.... I salute you two master musicians. XD
The human: kills everyone in the underground except papyrus Sans: heh, no worries kiddo. I'll let you pass Boyfriend: _throws a microphone at sans_ Sans: *And I took that personally*
This song is amazing. It perfectly captures the intesity and desperation of the fight, plus the pretty difficult charting makes this song so intense. And all the letimofs really bring it all together with a nice little bow on top. All the songs in indie cross are great, but this one is probably my favorite.
I'm hearing this on loop all day and I'm not kidding. My favorite song from Indie Cross, I would dare say from all mods! I really love this one! The details are well thought, it makes me shiver all the time.
This entire song felt like fighting sans all over again: Hard as hell fight Banger music Sans taunting you with every death Feeling accomplished after beating him Wanting to do it all over again for some reason
