Amazing to see the shotguns all go from solid B tier weapons at best to a viable meta pick in just a couple months. Bit late to the party but damn am I loving the new meta now
Still very much b tier after ammo total buff. It just doesn't offer enough for the long reload(which kills boss dps even with fire - it is vastly inferior to recon lasgun infernus4), since infantry autogun/lasgun got buffed(so shotguns got bumped down). On vet, even with rending stacked, it's a very poor choice against the hardest targets(crushers, mostly).
@@EcchiRevengeYeah, definitely viable weapons, but I'd struggle to call them meta. They're a solid A tier, which for me is often better than S tier since those can often be a little overtuned depending on the game in question's sandbox. Less of a risk taking a random nerf bat if you're just "good but not great"!
I've tried this and while its good the revolver is just better, mostly due to ammo efficiency. So many times in this vid its taking 3-4 shots at midrange to kill a gunner where the revolver would be 1, that adds up fast in maelstroms and I often found the shotgun out of ammo even with survivalist. One thing the shotgun is better at is dealing with bullwarks. If you take flechette + scattershot you can just spam the fire shells into a crowd and melt bullwarks/maulers/crushers, also ok boss damage.
Shotguns have faster reloads and higher damage potential. Due to larger clip size and punch through. 2-3 we’ll place shots in a scab shotgunner patrol can kill 5-6 of em. Also doesn’t need as accurate aim so much easier to weapon swap and pop off a special in the middle of melee. Edit: also fire rounds are really strong. Can melt a horde from a distance, especially if you animation cancel weapon swap the fire round reload animation.
You don't need Flechette or Scattershot to do that. A Damnation Bulwark takes 3 fire rounds to die and neither of those will bring it down to 2. The power of the shell is that it has infinite cleave so it always takes only 3 rounds to kill as many bulwarks/reapers/gunners/etc as you can line up. Crushers always take garbage damage from DoTs, but they stack Onslaught on them super quick which makes them much easier to clear if you run out of Kraks.
@@cartoonvideos5 let me tell you... I've pre-ordered it, put 600 hours into it since beta, stopped playing back in April while picking it up post class rework (Patch 12/13) and having sunk 120h more into it. It's definitely worth it right now, there's so many different weapons, skills, blessings and combos as well as maps and boss fights to try. Haven't regretted it so far, right now I wholeheartedly can recommend it. If you would've asked me months ago, even before I stopped playing in April, I'd have only recommended it, if you were a 40k and "this type of game" fan. Sorry for the long-winded response, I hope this helps you!
This build with dagger (both bleed blessings) and Columnus MK V is pretty damn good. Been my build ever since the veteran change. The other options just aren't as good IMO
Good for applying dot to elites in a crowd but mainly its bc incendiary shot circumvents Bulwark’s shields. Also if you have unyielding dmg perk and No Respite blessing (especially), I guess you can melt Crushers/Reapers with a couple of incendiary shots. Apparently it’s about building that Burn DoT up to its max which can be achieved in a few special shots.
not really a big fan of calling such plays "cluch" when you basically left your teammates to die. Instead of pushing to high ground, getting to your ogryn and placing medpack there and help him. You sat on low ground, took unnecessary dmg from fire grenade, and then moved up to "clutch". Long story short, you would'nt need to clutch, if you saved teammate in a first place
