@@biscuit1533 Geyser at Sanctuary Islands, it's start at the 5th minutes during reset and then came back every 2 hours. While grandma's table u can search and find at the hidden forest. It starts at 35th minutes and same came back every 2 hours. (Hope u can understand my explanation 😅)
As someone who's been setting aside the game these past few days, this is honestly comforting to see, even though I think catching all the firework lights started to feel like a chore too. I don't feel alone in burnout ;-;
@@SilverSkylark Darn, this is quite sad. It was a Lunar New Year special event. Next Lunar New Year isn’t till late January of 2023, though I imagine they will definitely be bringing back the dragon considering how popular it was. I hope this still brings back some passion for the game, even if it’s only enough to get you to show up again in about a year to see the spectacle with everyone else.
Bro I feel that. Sky just gets too repetitive sometimes and you feel pressured to get candle to get *super limited travelling spirit to make u look like a veteran* and it’s just tiring trying to find all of the candles and everything in time just to get something u will barley ever use.
That idle wax spot at home will give you 15 a day. Also you can go to grandma's table too after that. If you need to do chores for a couple hours, you can go get the rest of your missing idle wax camping at the village idle spot. After Days of Love ends, if you do the floating emotes trick above the geyser hole and sleep there, you'll wake up to geyser being finished, then all you need is to idle at grandma and village and you'll have most of your candles with very little effort. If you don't know how to turn the afk timer off, click settings --> shop --> question mark button.
Those cute little events we get occasionally is what keeps me in the game aside from my friends. I don't really bother with collecting the new seasonal cosmetics as much as I did when I was a moth. I do keep up with the seasonal quests when they are interesting. I'm already like at the retirement age in Sky but unfortunately I don't have pension candles 😂
I think I might give up on seasons too at this point barely any good item is free and need too many candles to even get 5 candle blessings. I will just wait for the ts I guess

Ah yes, the endless cycle of collecting a minimum amount of 15 candles everyday, to which the Dragon made that Work way easier than we expected. To which i will say, Thank you, mr. Dragon
I got burntout once because i pressured myself to get as much candles and hearts as possible. It got too repetitive and got in the way of school so I just, deleted the game. 3 months later, I got back in because of a friend, and I’m honestly having much more fun. I just do dailies and sometimes a candle run in the realm with extra candles. I no longer pressure myself to get cosmestics cuz I just know they’ll come back later. Moderation is key
I don’t think I’ll ever have the heart to delete Sky. There’s many people I’ve grown to love *so much* like a real family, so many smiles and laughs… I don’t want to erase it all in a matter of seconds. Hahaha if I’m being honest, if I ever came to accidentally deleted sky, TGC knows I wouldn’t sleep a wink from all the crying. I’d be as painful as losing a family member
I swear, geyser, grandma and dragon are literally life savers I used to candle run 3-4 realms per reset just to get at least 10 candles and it took forever 😭 But now that we have them I can finally get a life, as we get even more candles without having to spend so much time grinding (´▽｀)
@@bigamateur9055 grandma spawns in every 30 mins after reset time. eg. my reset time is 4pm so she comes around at 4:30pm and even hours after that she then gives you wax dinner at around 4:34pm and it lasts for 15 mins
honestly when there arent any event social light spaces, i just afk at prairie campfire, then afk at hotsprings, and then afk at geyser (with a table placed nearby so non-afk players can chat with eachother). some of the social light spaces use wax from the same "wax reserve", like if you get all of the wax at prairie campfire or wastelant campfire, the other campfire will also be out of wax.
This was the main reason why I take long breaks off of sky unless there are events like that. I love sky and it was a unique way to hang out with friends during quarantine, but now it feels like an extra chore.
*Idle candle farming tip for everyone who's burnt out, I get 10-15 candles everyday this way doing NOTHING I'm serious.* This works during eventless periods as well. 1. Set your screen to never automatically shut off. 2. Open Sky and equip a music prop. 3. During special events, go to the place with the lights at home, otherwise go to the fireplace in the cozy nook in Daylight Prairie. 4. Stand in the middle and open your instrument, leave your device on the notes screen as you slowly collect wax. Profit! Now the thing about the fireplace is that there is actually a limit on the wax you get (1000 pieces in Prairie, so I've heard. Not sure about the event area but it seems to be 1500), but when you go afk and start to "sleep" you stop collecting wax. If your screen turns off you also stop collecting wax. Turns out that if you have the instrument screen open, your skykid will not go to sleep no matter how long you got it open for, so this way you can slowly mine the wax until you hit the limit and it stops spitting out wax entirely. That's it! I've been doing it since days of love started and I consistently get 15 candles every day by putting my phone down for about 2 hours. Maybe when the event ends and I have to go to the Prairie I'll only get about 10, cause I heard the max number of wax there is 1000 pieces. But hey! Free candles. Sky is way more fun when I don't have to candle run every day. Try it out, it's so useful it should be common knowledge.
I’ve been with this game since it first was on the AppStore ;-; it’s very easy to feel burnt out, but that’s why traveling spirits and new season are the best! It’s also always really fun when TSG updates and changes the game, cause then J can compare it to how it used to be :D
As someone who has been playing for every single day for a whole year, I feel strong burnout. I've been pushing through it and burnout phases come and go, but I play anyways. That dragon though.. I love him so much. Until next year
Oof, I feel this x) Tbh Sky can get that way sometimes. You just log in to do the dailies and log off, maybe light a few friends but that's it. I feel like what kept me going on sky and loving the game are all the wonderful friends I made on there. I feel like my day is incomplete if I don't get to see my closest friend even for just 20 minutes. Have a good day!
I was going for 3.5 years strong and finally burnt out a couple of months ago. I’m not sure what has the power to bring me back, but I’ll always consider myself a sky kid.
Yeah that pretty sums the events of Days of Fortune.I remember before the 1st Dragon I was at 35 and in end I got to 42 CANDLES.That was CRAZY.It's thanks to that I got the Earth cape with no issues.I have so much fun with this event(alongside with some companoius) and look forward to do this again in future.Happy days of love to every sky Children.

Honestly I often just plug in my phone and go afk at grandma's table when I go to bed, usually I'll wake up to about three candles. Pretty good for not having to do anything haha
As much as I love the sky community and the scenery from sky cotl, the game is getting boring for me,especially when your friends are starting to quit... Fried Crab taste the same as I remember, but where are thoose who share the memory?

This video honestly summarised my time in sky. I have been going through this phase for some time now. I just want like a candle farm where I grow my wax I do not need to run for it. I feel pressure, I wish I could just spend time with the incredible friends that I made than running around stressed for wax, cuz without wax I can’t get anything 😭
And this is why I decided to not do candle run period. I only collect candles I came upon when messing around in an area of my choice that day. It's less stressful :)
I get burnout occasionally and then take a break, but when I do come back, I have lots of energy and motivation to collect all the WL, go through Eden even though it scares me, and in general run around and have fun :)
I miss you fireworks dragon.... Until next year. Now I have to do prairie run+geyser+granny every day to reach a similar candle count, so I watch TV while I'm playing to avoid total burnout. If you ever see a kid ramming into walls mid-CR that would be me.
I relate to this so much. Farming starts to feel like a chore. Sometimes I only do quests then I hang out with friends or simply log out. This is why events in the home area that gives free wax is a blessing. Wonderful animation ✨✨
Watching this again hits hard for me as I took a long break from sky due irl stress and problems taking a lot of my freetime. Somewhere after the season of Aurora, I don't candle run like I used to nor stay online much, only sticking around shortly for the anniversary or events that I've missed. I had a talk with my friends about it from my previous log in months ago, and they're so great to advice me to take breaks as much as I need. Whenever I receive candle notif, I promised to play again and cherish the moments with my friends once I return like how they're willing to wait for me 🥲💖
Burn out hits harder when only 5 people in your entire constellation still play the game 😢 I'm just here for the season stories now cause I can't really get hearts
At this point, it might be in your best interest to friend new players! One thing I started doing to get hearts consistently is a daily CR and sending as many hearts to friends as possible. Not just any friends, but the ones who play near daily. With some of these friends, I asked if they wanted to do a daily trade.. and let me tell you, that helped make getting hearts much easier. I tend to get at least 4 hearts on a daily average with this method. Also! If you still wanna try to get stuff from traveling spirits, you can always try this: For one week you do daily CR and heart trades, and for the next week you do daily CR and save the candles for the traveling spirit. Then just repeat that cycle as many times as desired~
I am so glad that grandma and geyser were added. It allows me no not have to constantly candle run and I can easily get 15 candles each day. Remember everyone! Sky is a great game and all but too much of a good thing can be bad for your health! Take breaks and only keep on if you feel you are enjoying it. Playing other games or focusing on other pastimes can be fun as well.
Bro the saddest thing is i sorta gave up because of burnout :’) it was my comfort game but then i sorta recked it by playing it all day everyday for an entire year

ive never gotten burnout from sky, but im also broke haha~ luckily after a year and a half of playing + not missing seasons, im pretty much free from ts. but i dont really have a routine in sky. i dont go candle run every day and go catch idle wax when i feel like it. i just do daily, sometimes skip mindfully so to not spend on candle packs and during off season i relax and do as much as i can/want. please dont take sky activities as a chore. instead, see them as theyre always there for whenever you wish to come back. sometimes doing cr to me is relaxing, i can play and follow a pattern without focusing on it too much. sometimes i just like sitting at some building, playing music or trying oob. things being there dont mean you have to do them! with eden too. unless im in a lack of candles for the next ts or im running out of potions i simply dont go because its time consuming and im lazy to pick up my wl later. oh yeah, and im also always between 110 and 130 wl, despite my max is way past 150 now. i realized i dont need 11 flaps to go everywhere, so no reason to bother to collect them all. have fun in sky guys!!! do whatever you want to do, establish boundaries if socializing is hard, take your time and think twice if you really need every single item out there, or if you really cant skip a single day of dailies. its a game and its meant to make you happy ♡
The burnout is real when you have limited time in a day to collect candles. I had to take many breaks because of that. Also the dragon animation is amazing!
Haven’t reached the burnout yet but the second half made me think of the first time I ever played sky. I saw a bunch of spirits by the dock and kept going to them for missions but that wasn’t how it worked at all 😅 so I’d leave to wander and figure things out like a moff

i've been playin Sky consistently for months , it became a routine. I had an alarm set for grandma and everything xD The moment I had to skip a few days cos of irl stuff it ended up making me stop playing for weeks., Burnout is so easy to get when things are so repetitive
The friend constellation is the main reason I struggle with getting hearts, because I have to light up *everyone* too and I have so many :’) And failing to tap the button twice and end up canceling the constellation, then having to go all the way back from the center And getting woozy from the constant up and down panning of the camera with flashing lights. Getting only ~15 candles never feels like enough
I just came back to the game after months of not playing and I say that break did me a whole lot of good. :>. Take a break sky kids and come back when you want to💞

I already made up my mind that I was gonna quit, only staying because of Abyss but I will have all constellations done by the end the only thing that always eludes me is tallness
i've been playing this game for over 2 years and the fact that this entire video (even the second half) is completely true for me scares me. i always thought everybody was just always busy while i would light the candles of max friends(that show up on the constellation menu) i'll never talk to again. at the 4 month mark of me playing i was burnt out, i kept doing dailes tho because i *have* to. at one point i just didn't play the entirety of dreams and assembly, and i regret it, and i hate myself for that. but yesn't. yeah they're busy but i have too much freetime. i'm never not online playing something. i realized that awhile ago and it hurt to think about how much i could've done, and how much my mental health just died. this was off topic kinda but yeah
Yeah, I really understand the burnout. I deal with it by just doing the bare minimum in the game for about a week. Eventually goes away when I do that.
In my 6mnths playing I noticed alot of sky kids treat sky as an all or nothing kinda game. Burnout is natural but it doesn't mean you gotta leave forever when you still enjoy playing. As a moth my first friend was a 2yr old player who pops in once every few weeks. I'm always excited to see them and joke that they have the "veteran condition" (thousands of candles, tons of cosmetics and burn out) But seeing them a little bit still means alot. Sometimes I'll see boat messages of friends announcing they'll be taking a break or won't be on every day anymore but still sometimes. We'll all have a day we never pick up Sky again but until then we shouldn't pressure ourselves to do it all, and play at any pace we like
That music alone is pure motivation. Although yeah mood. Only thing I wish from the new season is that the swimming was better. And more fish. (Maybe I'm spoiled by ABZU...)

The same thing: quests, cr, leave, repeat and me ofc not having any type of social skills, the game just gets boring alone, I wish there was more to do instead of "hahah new season but you still have to do the *same shit everyday* and wait 20 days for the most boring ass quest" or events where half of the cosmetics are IAPs that cost 99$ it just doesnt feel good, even if you're able to pay for it
Same. I have a full time job now and it feels like I barely have time to cr before I have to go to bed and get into work the next morning. I try and find time but it’s harder to keep up.
