The public memorial service for the Burnsville first responders killed on Feb. 18 was held at Grace Church in Eden Prairie on Feb. 28. About 7,600 people were in attendance to pay their respects to Officer Matthew Ruge Officer, Officer Paul Elmstrand and Firefighter-Paramedic Adam Finseth.

So heartbreaking... I wish the families comfort and strength. It saddens me so.. to see what is occurring in Our Country. These men should be appreciated, celebrated and mourned by all..

I felt like I knew these men and truly mourned their deaths. I will look at every officer and first responder with a deep, deep gratitude as these men and women are true heroes. It was a beautiful and touching memorial.

These were not heroes, it was their job. Get over it. Citizens deserve the same. This creates more of a division between the public and law enforcement. You serve the public, you sign up for the risks - and there are few risks.

This should make Real Americans very angry. Enough. I see no room for forgiveness, I see retribution. Our God is on vacation. He gave us free will, maybe it's time to use it.
