Claudia Cardinale grooming in the movie "The Leopard" reminds me of the first Lady in the US: Mary Todd Lincoln. She used to dress with style. Burt Lancaster and Claudia performed very well on the Silver Screen. The director Luchino Visconti added a special touch to this film.

In one picture I see Rommy Schneider and Alan Delon did they have any role in the film ? I don’t remember maybe they just visited the set. They aren’t wearing costumes just summer close. Does anybody know ?

Yes Alan Delon had an important role as Burt Lancaster’s nephew in the film, Tancredi. Schneider isn’t it the film though. I think you could be confused with Claudia cardinale

They starred in a french film together four-five years earlier, “Christine.” Perhaps that is the one you’re thinking of.

Alain Delon was casted as the nephew of Prince Salina. Romy Schneider was there, because of him. Delon was her partner.

I always found Lancaster an overly mannered actor. It is sort of sad thing that he could not let is natural bearing and comfort in his own skin come into his performances.

I know what you mean but I don't think there was anything mannered about his performance in The Leopard.

True. But the new natural style of acting was just getting started in Hollywood with the explosive performance of Marlon Brando in Streetcar Named Desire. Decades later we take this style totally for granted.
